I am unable to access my GlobeInvestor Streaming Quotes (http://finserv.globeinvestor.com/fcclient8/mainframe.htm) via GlobeInvestorGold.com. When I click on the "Tracker" link on the GlobeInvestor Gold website to access my streaming quotes, I get a pop up with an error stating:

Name: fccapp Location: http://finserv.globeinvestor.com Your security settings have blocked an untrusted application from running.

I have restarted Firefox numerous times. I have reset Firefox. I have re-installed Java a few times and I have also updated all plugins. I am running Firefox on my MacBook Pro. If you could provide any assistance, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much in advance.

I'm trying to run an application that displays competitors' routes at an orienteering event. My problem is that Firefox blocks the Java applet. I get a window saying "Application Blocked by Security Settings. Your security settings have blocked an application from running with an insecure or expired jre."

I've tried looking at the Firefox help on "How to enable Java if it's been blocked", but that's no help. It talks about clicking on the red plug-in icon in the address bar, but there isn't a red plug-in icon in the address bar.

The application is from www.epoc.routegadget.co.uk. It worked when I used it last Sunday.

Help, please!

I consider it a security issue that I no longer have the ability top turn off java/javascript and what not. Is there no way to enable this? This is a terrible decision, if it was a decision. People should be able to control how they interact with the web, not the browser vendor. For a browser/organization that promotes freedom for the web, this is basic functionality for that freedom. Any solution would be helpful and please don't point me at some ugly plugin.

I just installed a fresh windows xp on my pc and I'm using the latest FF 26.0,but from the start i cant get to some pages, like in youtube, some pages doesnt come up and i get the "This connection is untrusted" page,in the technical details it says "youtube.com uses an invalid security certificate, the certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain is provided.(Error code:sec_error_unknown_issuer). also when i open FF add-ons manager tab Extensions,Appearance,Plugins and Services are ok but the Get Add-ons tab is not working,i get the same page as i stated above with the same technical details (instead of youtube.com it's services.addons.mozilla.org) and same error. I've tried all solutions on the web and on this forum like reset FF, adjust time & date, using the "Skip cert error" add-on, deleting the cert8.db file, and so on - none of them helped me with this problem. If it helps i use Avast! antivirus and window firewall,no other software on that pc. I'm pretty clueless about what else i can do,any suggestion that might help? Thanks!

Hi,

I'm securely connected to my (self-hosted) webmail. https://webmail.whatever.com I've tried to access the SpamAssassin Configuration option within it but I get the following.

You have asked Firefox to connect securely to mailboxes.whatever.com, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure. mailboxes.whatever.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is only valid for the following names:

 *.dreamhost.com , dreamhost.com

(Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)

I understand why I'm getting the message, but how do I add an exception when the option to do so is not showing as it usually does? I can try and use the non-secure URL for my webmail, but I'd rather not and I might get the same results anyway.

The following does a (very) good job of explaining things, but solutions are not provided for all of the issues/messages. Perhaps that can be changed when we figure this out. http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/secure-connection-failed-error-message

This problem popped up for the first time a few months ago. but I was able to work around it by by clicking on "I understand the risks" on the "This Connection Is Untrusted" warning page, and then by adding a security exception. That fix would work for random lengths of time... sometimes for days, sometimes for minutes. Now, after updating to the latest version of Firefox, I get the same security warning but the option to click "I Understand the Risks" is gone. I get this error message on the technical details page: (Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer

I have done everything listed here many, many times: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/connection-untrusted-error-message I mean everything. Delete cert.db, start in safe mode, empty cache, delete and reinstall.... Nothing works.

Your help would be greatly appreciated!

My username and password for my university website: https://www.bb.reading.ac.uk/ stopped appearing automatically, and the password only appeared when I typed in my username. I couldn't bothered to type the username every time, so I deleted the website in the 'Saved Password...' section thinking I would be prompted to remember the password again. But it never came up and cannot seem to find a function that would allow me to remember a password for the website.
