When I open Firefox on my new computer all the bookmarks are showing at the top. I only want my default bookmark toolbar to show. The only solution I could find was to drag it into the toolbar area.

Your instructions under "help" say to click on "Firefox" and click on "preferences". When I click on Firefox the menu does NOT have "Preferences" in it. What's up with that?? And how do I clear the cache and cookies?

I have a very fast internet connection, 200 mbps and everything else on both my laptop and my mobile phone are working fine but Firefox is very slow. Pages load ok but videos will play for a short time and then freeze never to continue and downloads are painfully slow, 2 to 4 mbps. Edge and Chrome download normally and videos play with no issue. I need this fixed or Firefox is going bye bye!

I've noticed lately that my Firefox keeps freezing and hanging up at random periods for no apparent reason. I have very few plugins and it even happens with them all disabled and removed. I've tried resetting Firefox to default everything yet it makes no difference.

Also I can not clear history. I've tried multiple different clear history plugins but none of them work at all. And when I try the traditional way of clearing Firefox history the window pops up and then the entire browser just freezes while 'clearing' and never gives me back control, I have to force quit and restart to regain control. And then when I relaunch the history is still not cleared!

So aside from the constant lagging and lockups it seems that any attempt to delete history whether using the inbuilt function or adding plugins messes up the whole browser.

Googling this issue it seems others are having the exact same problem with Firefox and yet any suggested solutions (reset browser) don't seem to be working for may of them.. Or me.

hello ppl i hope u guys doing good look in some sites firefox is not playing any sound no audio like on facebook reels or watching a vedio there i cant hear anything and some sites also when i watch vedio i cant hear any sound but in other browser everything work perfect but i like to use firefox its audio prblm and pls know thats the prblm is not from my windows i have windows 10 everything work fine pls help me fix this thx.

Okay, I am unable to get into my bank online even after doing steps to fix Error code: PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR checking the site, it says this is at firefoxes end

when i type site url or chose from dropdown the error message Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.

We can’t connect to the server at cciawards.za..

If you entered the right address, you can:

   Try again later
   Check your network connection
   Check that Firefox has permission to access the web (you might be connected but behind a firewall)

I was on a teams meeting because I wanted to do a study session with someone on another country. As part of the homework I needed to do, I needed to listen to some audio. I changed my windows audio devices to output through the Communications device for the headset. Then I played the audio on a tab. The audio played for a few seconds before stopping again.

I understand that this is behaviour intended to let you take a call or meeting without having to manually pause any open tabs you might not have at hand, but I would like Firefox to understand I really want that audio to play without thinking it knows better. Is there any way to disable this behavior?

This is going to start out sounding like a Google problem, but please read the whole thing. I have a new Windows 11 Dell, and I normally run Firefox. When I wasn't able to attach a file to a gmail email I went to Google Account Help. It suggested that I delete cookies and cache, which I have now done several times. Now the problem is that I can't get to Gmail from Account Help. I have deleted everything that Firefox History will let me delete, and no matter how I try to get to it I cannot get to Gmail. It keeps me in Google Account Help.

Here's why I think I have a Firefox problem. In frustration I opened MS Edge. It let me get to Gmail, and it let me attach the file to my email. It seems to me that if I were having a Google problem, it wouldn't matter which browser I was in. As soon as it saw my email address it would put me in the same place. That's my reasoning anyway.

Why is Firefox suddenly not remembering any of my logins or passwords? When I go into Preferences > Security, the box to "remember logins and passwords for websites" is checked. When I click on saved passwords they all are there. The do you want to save box is there if I have changed a login, or added a new web site. I am not in private browsing mode. The problem seems to happen every time I install the latest Firefox update, or Windows 10 Pro updates. Some of my apps want to know if I am using a new device.

I'm trying to configure my router and the instructions tell me to go to https://192.168.1.1. But the security settings will not allow me to get to that (local network) IP address, and ther.is no option to bypass the warning

I have been getting the "new version available, download now nag for over 2 weeks, and I have the latest version. Still get this issue repeatedly every day. Starting to become an every hour nag to update and install latest version of Firefox. Refuse to use Microsoft Edge or Chrome, and will switch off Firefox too if not rectified.

Fix the problem ! If I set up a set of bookmarks and web sites to be opened on startup of Firefox, then use them and save that list forever until I change it.

That is how you product worked until this week. Now, it sucks. And why does the header say that my options are controlled by my organization ? This is my private computer, belongs to me, not any organization !

I can open the Chase bank site, but cannot log into my account. I can log into my Chase account using Edge. This may have happened after the most recent update to Firefox. Any ideas how to fix this?
