Still using Firefox 78.15.0 esr (64 bit)

Am I correct that the toolbar icon " - | 100% | + " is the Firefox Zoom function? I have never been able to locate a toolbar icon for NoSquint Plus. I also have Theme & Font Size Changer, but it stopped working years ago. Anyway, working fine for many years, automatically setting the zoom on every tab to 150% so I can read it easily.

A few days ago I got into the NoSquint Plus preferences (NEVER OPEN THE HOOD !!!) , and wondered why it was set to chrome API instead of CSS API and changed it to see. That kind of broke it completely. Maybe changed other stuff trying to get it back...

At present, Firefox Default Zoom is set to 150% . NoSquint Plus is default full page 100% and default text only 150% There are no instructions telling me how these 3 settings will interact.

It seems that when I open NoSquint Plus Preferences and change the %, it works on all the tabs on that page, but not on any other page unless I open it & fiddle with it.

How do I get what I want? There is no "return to default settings" for NoSquint Plus.

Whenever I type in a website URL in the search-bar, first of all, the drop-down menu of related searches and websites does not show up. When I press enter to confirm that's where I want to go, nothing happens. The URL just kinda sits there, no loading circle or anything... Just a blank page. Only two of the icons on my toolbar works. The "Account" icon, which takes me to my Firefox settings. And my Extensions icon. Clicking the three little lines does nothing. The only websites i have been able to get to work at all are the settings page, and the Firefox troubleshooting page. I'm using Version 125.0.3, I tried using the browser both with and without hardware acceleration with results being unremarkably the same. I restarted Firefox and my computer multiple times to no avail, and the only thing I could find out of the ordinary was an error with Importing data from Microsoft Edge, which was not something I consciously wanted to do, but there was an error that popped up regarding that when i went to the settings page.

All that being said, I'm confused and at a loss for options, and could really use a Mozilla Staff member or someone who knows what they're doing to work me through this.

79 files taking 590MB created in 3 minutes, out of nowhere. Why were all these large files created?

Using Linux Mint, Firefox 125.0.2

I am using Firefox 125 in Windows 11. And this just happens recently.

Sometimes, quite frequently, when I click the addressbar wanting to input or select a new address. The Firefox UI freezes (before the dropdown list of addresses is shown). The video/audio/other effects are still working, and from task manager, it does not cost more CPU/mem than usual. But it does not response to key press or mouse action. All I can do (that I know of) is killing the processes. The problem does not seem related to "current" webpage I am browsing. And I have not installed new addons for a few months.

Any idea what should I look into?

How do I turn off those annoying "update available" notifications/reminders that keep popping up? I've gone into Settings, and in the Updates section firefox only let's me select auto updates or check for updates. I searched online but couldn't seem to find anything about how to disable the notifications all together with the newer version of FF. It's driving me crazy, thinking of switching browsers because of this. Thanks in advance!

Since upgrading to the last version, 125.0.3 I'm getting tab crashes. Is there any way to go to a previous version? I have not had any issues with the websites I'm visiting until this new version of Firefox.

Need help figuring out why Firefox has a memory leak after an extended use of Firefox browsing. Don't know if its the result of an extension having this issue, or if its a Firefox bug. When I view my bank statement in Firefox, everything appears fine, but when I print the statement, all occurrences of boldfce "S" on the printout are blank. This problem does not occur with Google. Running macOS Catalina, all maintenance applied, Firefox is at 125.0.3.

Problem with using space bar when trying to post replies on YT or other sites. Can key text, but space bar does not work. On Google search page, can get only one space between words. Tried 2 different keyboards w/same problem. Doesn't seem to happen on Chrome or Safari. Re-installed Firefox with same results. Any thoughts, please? Thank you.

When I press the pause button on my keyboard, it doesn't stop the YouTube video like it used to. I'm not sure why it stopped working. I've checked the key, and it works fine in Chrome.

I've been trying to connect to discord for a while, left it on for 2 hours and hasnt loaded. when i opened the console log, all it said was "Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at wss://gateway.discord.gg/?encoding=json&v=9&compress=zlib-stream" all over. Please help.

Thru Firefox, I use Tineye to find related photos - I use it all the time, it's been great - I always use a VPN and have never had problems until now (as of yesterday). Now it won't search, a verify you're human window comes up, and I have to keep clicking squares, which I do - but then it says to allow cookies and start over. Well I don't want to allow cookies (I assume it's one of the options I have thru Firefox to block cookies), and I can't find where to allow cookies even if I did (I went to Firefox preferences etc) and I don't want to disable my VPN. Maybe I should mention that I just added or started a Mozilla account, as I have had immense trouble with my aol emails, and am trying to move everything over to a gmail account. My sign in to Firefox was the aol email, and I had to (try, I thought I did it) add another account, which I think I did successfully. So it was right after that, that all this started. Help please! I keep hitting sites where menus and selection boxes turn into unreadable Wing Dings? On W11 and cleared and rest the font cache in Windows and still repeatedly seeing the issue?

I deleted the old user names and passwords associated with my bank account. Now I can no longer login to my bank acct using Firefox. Only with another browser.

I tried to uninstall then reinstall Firefox but the problem continues. What to do now to login to my bank account?

is too slow.

tooooooooo slow. I waited 36.6s until http response for every new URL open! Of course, I am using a lot of Firefox extensions, but there were no serious problems outside of YouTube, and the same problem occurred after removing the extension, and i also confirmed that the problem caused by web extensions on waterfall(on firefox profiler) was minor.

I can't even guess the cause of the problem, so unfortunately there seems to be no additional information that I can give you. I'll keep following up as long as I can. I will attach some pictures that might help you solve the problem. and you can also approach to my full-recorded firefox profiler data

Ok-So this popup window popped up when I returned to Firefox. I don't think it's legit and I am wondering how I go about blocking it permanently. I searched the settings but didn't see where I could post the URL so that is why I am posting this here.

I copied the URL but I don't want to post it here in case it could do something to someone else's system. But here is the screenshot. Please advise me what I need to do. Thank you! TGIF!

I am on a Mac running Sonoma.

When reloading a page, or navigating to a new page, the default Stop icon momentarily appears over my own Reload icon, and the default Reload icon also appears over my Stop icon.

Any idea if this is a minor bug?

Below is my code to split the Reload button into Reload & Stop buttons, then to add text to the navigation buttons, and finally to add icons to the navigation buttons.

This anomaly happens whether or not I split the Reload & Stop buttons. With just a single Reload button, I'm also seeing the default Reload icon appear over my own.

I am trying to add custom search engines to Firefox. I have tried the steps given in the forum thread https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1212596.

However when I try to go and add the search engine as per the article given above I do not get the option. Please see the attached screen shot for more details. I do not want to add an extension or a plugin, but just manually have the option of adding search engines.

This is almost surely a "security" or "privacy" design, but it's an error. In Firefox - only (this works fine in Chrome) - if I open the LastPass Firefox Extension, find a Site, and Copy the password, then go directly to an open AnyDesk remote access connection, and Paste (or, lightning bolt menu, Insert from Clipboard), what gets pasted is a single wrong character, NOT the password that IS in the clipboard. (If I paste instead into e.g. a local Notepad window, the actual password gets pasted). I asked AnyDesk support about this, and they confirmed that it's something that Firefox is doing. It shouldn't. Copy is copy. Paste is paste. Why would Firefox do something so that copied text (which just happens to be a password from a password vault extension) pastes wrong when the destination just happens to be a remote desktop client (AnyDesk) to send the password through to complete a login at the remote end? Anyway, how to turn off this wrong behaviour? thank you. (Windows 11 Pro, 64-bit, 23H2, Firefox current - 125.something today, but this has been going on for some weeks at least, AnyDesk version 8 current)
