First came the Linux upgrade and with it the enforced new Firefox version. The new Firefox appeared "raw" with none of my previous settings. I am having trouble filling in the Firefox toolbar and recovering things like "most visited" sites listing and many others. There must be a common sense limit to the "happy developers'" ideas.

Everytime I try to access myAir.resmed.com I get a blank screen. When I do it with google chrome it works. Something set wrong in settings but can't find it.

I am tryign to access my accoutn with De'Longhi via https://www.delonghi.com/en-gb/login.

However, the login and password boxes don't show, while the New User boxes are visible.

They also don't show in Chrome, so I think it might be a McAfee/Windows Defender issue, but I am not sure how to use the debugging in Firefox to help me see what might be happening.

Yesterday, I was typing an email when commas didn't work, or I got <'s instead. And CAPS were coming out in my text even though the CAPS lock was not engaged. And when I did engage it, smaller lower case characters came out.

Then the browser revered to its original state, all by itself, as if I just downloaded it. And then a FF window appeared saying something about troubleshooting an issue with the browser and refreshing. I refreshed. Didn't do any good, the browser was still in its "original state" (I don't remember, but I think it changed to its original state before I did the refresh.) I uninstalled FF and reinstalled.

Luckily, I had written out all my settings, add ons, had a screen shot of how I had the browser set up, and even changes I made to about:config settings. Took a while, but I got it back to what it was, for the most part. The only issue is that my zoom percentage (I use an add on) was usually around 140 for most web sites. Now it's about 130, so 10 less. And the Windows Display sliding setting (Ease of Access - Display) is around 140. That's one setting I didn't write down, but thought it was around 160.

I have no idea what happened.

One question - on the far right, on the task bar that has the internet address field, there's an icon for Extensions (looks like a puzzle piece). Is there a way to remove it? I did go to Customize, but when I try and grab and drag it off, it doesn't work.

My firefox has totally stopped working and i have downloaded a new version about 10 times but it just disappears just a blank page. I can't read my e-mails or anything i uninstalled it and reinstalled nothing at all. Everything i run revolves around Firefox, i have refreshed everything i can think of but without a browser i am in the dark, any help would be greatly appreciated. If you e-mail me i can't read it on here but will get it on my phone. As you know without a browser you do nothing or go anywhere.

I want to clear cache and cookies. I hit Ctrl-Shift-Del. This presents various options of what to delete.

One thing I do not want to delete: Firefox has somehow learned the URLs for some oft-used websites. For instance, maybe I visit microsoft.com frequently - and Firefox automatically suggests the rest of that URL, as soon as I hit the letter M. (I would also like to know how to teach Firefox to behave that way, for various letters of the alphabet.)

It seems that, if I make full use of the deletion options available via Ctrl-Shift-Del, Firefox deletes those oft-used URLs along with everything else. So then I have to type the full URL, until it relearns that entering M probably means I'm going to microsoft.com.

How can I clear cache and cookies without losing those remembered URLs?

I've had this problem for a couple of years already. Not with other browsers and, with the Internet Download Manager extension, I'm usually able to download multimedia content in FF. (That's been my workaround.)

For example, when loading this humble URL ... https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/transcoded/d/d8/Plattenknistern_record.ogg/Plattenknistern_record.ogg.mp3 ... if I have autoplay enabled, it'll crash right away ("Your tab just crashed"), without autoplay, it'll crash as soon as I hit play. Until a few days ago, no crash report was created under about:crashes, but, after upgrading to 112.0.1, I've finally been able to submit a crash report: bp-203a462b-e949-47b0-90f3-a99760230422

No difference if I create a new user profile and disable add-ons. Disabling hardware acceleration doesn't help either. I can't do without most of my settings and add-ons, so refreshing FF is not an option. I'd sooner try a new install (and then import my profile and reinstall add-ons), but that's laborious and not guaranteed to solve the problem.

(I've submitted this question before, about half a year ago - now archived -, but that didn't go anywhere for lack of crash diagnostics.)

Every once in a while I'll visit a website that, even tho you scroll to what you think is the bottom of the page, when you approach that point, you see the scroll button jump up, and there is further room to scroll.

It happens occasionally on YouTube, but elsewhere as well.

I think I remember somewhere that there is a workaround for this, but first I want to understand if this is by design, perhaps because it's a way of restraining the given site from loading too much content at one time, causing CPU overload, leading to related issues.

Are your passwords, credit card accounts and email vulnerable by visiting an unsecured site if you are just looking at the site? i.e. not entering any such info.

Before I refreshed Firefox, I always had a blank Yahoo! search bar at the top of any page. It was very useful but it's gone and I don't know how to get it back. Can someone help me with this?

I have no access to all my bookmarks and the damn backup folder is empty, what kind of trash is this, I need this for my work and not even the search history is avalable, no more damn firefox, let me know if there is any way to get back that bookmarks and browser data since I have no way of retrieving any of the cinfidental accesses I need to perform my job

I'm using a Windows 7 machine. And yes I know, I should upgrade to Windows 10 or 11. :-) Hopefully you all can still help. With the latest Firefox update 112.0.1, Firefox will no longer open. I can click the icon again and again and nothing. It doesn't even try or give an error. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it but nothing. I did find on another test machine I had if I installed an older version, it will open but wants to create a new profile causing me to lose all my bookmarks. I don't want that on my actual machine. Can anyone help? Keep in mind that it will not open at all. So I can't clear cache or change settings or even backup my bookmarks.

I've noticed for two weeks now that last two standard entries in “Edit” menu are missing: “Start Dictation…” and “Emoji & Symbols” no longer show up. (see attached screenshot) It looks like this https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1563295

Currently - Firefox 112.0.1 (64 bits) — but issue also there before that upgrade and I think it came with version 112.0.0 - MacOS Ventura 13.3.1 (22E261) — issue also there before that latest update on april 20th - Mac Book Pro with Intel processor — a friend can confirm the issue with that chip but not with M2 and same OS and browser versions.

I keep adding the bom site to the excemption but never allows me to open it , goes to my modem page & again no view and lock me out of site but to modem page ?? and now access to the bom radar site .

Good morning I downloaded the most recent update this am and I now can not open outlook. I do disaster relief work and it's important I have access to my outlook account.

Hi all, I cannot sync ma password to a different system. Firefox states that my account is "disconnected", I cannot change this status even with multiple tries to login. If I go to Sync I can chose to login "again". If I do so nothing changes. Even with muliple tries. Do you have any idea how I can debug this? BTW: There seemes to be some polices in place even if i'm in no organisation.
