Hello, I'm writing about this original inbox issue: There's a message that can't be deleted... It can't be moved or anything. This only affects one message! And it's been going on for several days. What can I do? Thanks, Oliver D

I Have Thunderbird 137.0.2 running on Win11

When saving an attachment and navigating to target folder for save, no files in the target folder on the local PC are displayed.

This is not the case when looking for an attachment to send, only when saving attachment. I have another instance of a slightly older release of Thunderbird on a Win10 PC that behaves the same. Anu Ideas?

After a recent update to Thunderbird 128.9.2esr on April 17, 2025, I am unable to login to my gmail accounts through Thunderbird. Login to server pop.googlemail.com with user name *********** failed

I can login to my email accounts fine using gmail but not with Thunderbird. I have tried a number of fixes I found on the internet at the link below but nothing seems to be solving the problem.

Unified inbox shows 2 identical messages for each on retrieved by IMAP for all 4 of my accounts.

Thunderbird 128.9.1esr (64-bit) [Linux Mint] retrieves messages from my 4 email accounts (2x gMail & 2x Yahoo-based). It then displays each email retrieved TWICE. In the past, Left-Clicking on Unified Inbox | Properties then the [Update] button would "single-up" the list into a 1-for-1 relationship. I then sort my mail MANUALLY into local folders or delete unwanted in order to keep my inbox "zero'd".

After my recent Linux Mint 22.1 update, this no longer works and I need to close and re-open Thunderbird to get any "ghost" messages that I haven't sorted or deleted to disappear.

I am sure that I have something configured incorrectly but I can't seem to find it. None of the 4 accounts is "aware of" or forwarding to or retrieving from any of the others - they are totally independent. Yet I get duplicated emails from all 4. Using Browser-based mail client, none of them have duplicated stuff anywhere that I can find.

What documentation should I provide? Thanks.

Since I migrated from ESR Channel to Release channel, the main Archive folder doesn't include all the subfolders. Later, I can manually select which folders I want to include in the main folder. For example: I can select only 2025, 2024, and 2023 subfolders to be showed inside the main Archive folders. Now, I can't find this option, and the last messages I can see are from 2023.

I have seen many questions a bit like mine but they all refer to downloading emails. Mine is different: "The folder 'Trash on my@email.com' could not be compacted because writing to folder failed. Verify that you have enough disk space, and that you have write privileges to the file system, then try again." It now happens on two different email addresses (one is POP one is IMAP). Trash seems otherwise to work and can be deleted. But still this alarm. MAS OS 15.1.1 (24B91) - latest Thunderbird 128.5.2esr (64-bit)

I have been receiving emails for my [email removed]@aol.com account on my pc, via Thunderbird, and on my ipad. Now both devices are saying the password is invalid. I have gone to the AOL website and changed the password and can receive emails at mail.aol.com. I have gone back to thunderbird and folllowed instructions to change the pw by deleting in settings and restarting Thunderbird and entering the new pw that AOL Mail recognises. But Thunderbird still says the pw is not valid. Any suggestions ?

I have the Android T-bird app on my Google Pixel 9.

I am having constant problems with it not syncing.

This morning, when I swiped down, the kept spinning but did not connect. When i tapped the sync icon at the bottom left of the screen, nothing!

Nothing changed after rebooting the phone, which BTW takes almost twice as long as the reboot on my previous Samsung phones.

I have now uninstalled and reinstalled, and imported my settings using the QR code on my desktop. It imported my accounts, but asked me to sign in or sign in later. There is no link for signing in immediately, and sign in later does not allow any sign in opportunity.

I now have no emails imported to the app.

Any help would be appreciated

Thunderbird not displaying all new emails in the inbox. New emals are downloaded and visible in all other folders.

Problem started 2 days ago.

Checking on my cellphone using Google chrome on my webmail account new emails are shown.

If I quit Thunderbird and restart the new emails now show in the inbox.

What needs to be done to get All new emails showing up in my Thunderbird Inbox?

I would like to know whether the Thunderbird supports sending mass emails via Mai Merge with iCloud.com. When I use my email (xuweikang2015@icloud .com) and try to send messages via Mail Merge in Thunderbird, it has an error. It shows the message sending failed. Because it couldn't connect to the sending server (SMTP) smtp.mail.me.com, the email couldn't be sent. The server might be temporarily unavailable or refuse the SMTP connection. Please verify whether your sending server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again.

I am using zebra-striping for my Thunderbird email (78.14.0, 32-bit), alternating between white and light green. This is generated by the following code in my userChrome file. (The forum seems to change my code after it's posted, but the attached screenshot shows the actual code):

When the selected message is a white-stripe, the color switches to a light blue to make it stand out, but when the selected message is a green-stripe, it remains green and is only outlined in light blue, which makes the selected message difficult to identify.

How can I override the zebra-striping for *any* selected message (white or green stripe), such that the message is always light blue?

1st I am 90 yrs old. Been using this app since it was created. Never a problem until these new updates.

Was trying to delete old file (like the old program (block and hit delete). Found some message about deleting Trash folder and things I did not and do not understand. I now have LOST all my data, emails, addresses, everything.

I tried deleting the program and downloading a new copy. Did not work.

App Will not let me create an account. It keeps searching forever and have to cancel. App can't find my google password and just locks up. I only have two gmail addresses. I can access them by going to gmail.com but all my folders are not there. I need HELP please.

I can't even update my address file at the gmail site as I have no access to anything from TB. I am a research genealogist and now have lost all my saved research information.
