How do I disable secure connections for local domains? like http://nas.local or http://nas.home.arpa ?

I search for the subject but nothing came up. Apologies if this has been asked before.

Hi.

I have several internal sites, each signed with their own internal CA/subCA. These CAs are all named the same, but have different crypto materials.

If I import just 1 CA into FF (directly or in Windows store with security.enterprise_roots.enabled ), the site with that CA works fine (browser warning is not presented), but ALL those other internal sites give this error:

An error occurred during a connection to 10.1.1.1. Peer’s certificate has an invalid signature. Error code: SEC_ERROR_BAD_SIGNATURE

with no option to add a security exception.

If I add the CA for another site, that one works as well, the others won't. If I remove all the internal CAs, all the sites start working again (with browser warning, ofc.).

I tried in Chrome and Edge and I get the option to create a security exception for the sites for which I did not install their CA, which looks like the ideal/preferrable option to me.

Is this as intended (and why?) or can it be fixed?

Since the penultimate and now the last current update to version 127.0.2 (64Bit), the button (tile with the + sign) to add new shortcuts is no longer available. How can new shortcuts be added now?

Download Web plugin to access my Security DVR. When I type in the IP of the DVR, firefox will momentarily go to the plugin but then says it needs to be downloaded. HELP

I cannot do anything involving a search, tab crashes. I have used Firefox for many years, and yes, I have updated to the current version. If I cannot get this resolved, I will have to uninstall Firefox and use another browser. Please advise. Thank you.

A while back, I had some very bad cataracts. In order to view text more easily, I somehow managed to change black text against a white background to white text against a black background in the pdf reader's settings. A side effect of this change was that color became grayscale. I would now like to return the settings to default. I've lost the article on how I made the changes. How can I get the pdf reader back to it's default settings?

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox. The settings did not change.

Copying text with the latest version of Firefox 127.0.1 (64-bit) does not catch all lines of a page and its text the marking of these lines are ignored the same page text works if using Chrome

Those marked grey (in attached file) are the only that are captured as all the rests are left out even if they was intended to be marked .

I found that my session activity on a secure (logged-in) website was being interfered with. I could not log-out of that website. After I closed Firefox, a notice appeared that an update was in progress. Why should a Firefox update interfere with an active session? Is this an updating issue that needs fixing?

For over a month now i have a problem with youtube. It loads videos very badly. I have good connection speed, but 0 network activity and 0 buffer health in Stats For Nerds on youtube and videos dont load. I can wait for 10-15 minutes (but sometimes they load almost instantly) before video load 40 sec buffer and after that buffer ends i can wait for another 10 minutes befor it load buffer again.

This problem persist only in my firefox on my computer. I tried deleting all the extensions, reinstalling firefox, "refresh firefox" future, changing useragent, reinstalling windows (it was the time anyways) but it doesnt solve the problem. I dont have this problem in other browsers (edge, librewolf, chrome) on my computer.

For the last several weeks (can't give an exact date, but it's been more than just a couple weeks, less than a couple months), both my husband and I have had issues loading videos in FF. We both have the latest version of FF. I went thru "Fix common audio and video issues" and did all those things, as well as trying to load the videos in troubleshooting mode. Nothing has helped (tho now that i cleared all the cache, i'm gonna have to log back into all those websites :( ). Nothing else is problematic. Our internet connection is fine. In fact, my husband has resorted to using MS browser to watch videos--they load fine in that browser. I have no other idea what to do. Searching your database for "youtube videos load slow" only resulted in a couple hits with no resolution. Hopefully this isn't the third. thanks

I think the v127.0.2 fix to the Youtube buffering issue also fixed the frames being navigated in the wrong order when using < and > to navigate frame by frame. For several months it would occasionally skip a frame with one tap of the button then show the frame it should've shown when you tapped it again.

I was sitting playing on the computer, I go to firefox browser and go to zelenka.guru, I look, and I'm not in an account on this site for some reason. I decided to go to another site, but there is the same problem, as I realized - for some reason I got out of all accounts on all sites.

My laptop uses Window 11. On the web Bet365, I view live streams video by Picture in Picture mode of Firefox (hotkey: Ctrl+Shift+]) and see that the quality of video is very bad. I tested with Chrome and didn't see this issue. Is there any way to improve video quality of Firefox Picture in Picture mode?

I just bought a new MacBook Air to replace a Windows 10 laptop which crashed about a week ago. I have my files backed up with Carbonite. I have found and downloaded a copy of my Firefox profile from Carbonite's website. I wanted to restore the profile to the new Mac computer. I have followed the instructions I found online to copy the specific files to the new profile. I finally got the bookmarks file to work, so my bookmarks are now transferred to the Mac. However, the passwords are still not showing up when I copy key4.db and logins.json to the new profile on the Mac. What can I do to get the passwords copied and restored to the Mac?

I do not know what version of Firefox I was running when the profile file was last backed up, but it was supposed to be running the current version when the laptop crashed last week. However, Carbonite shows the date of key4.db to be April of 2019 and the date of logins.json to be 10/8/2022. Should the files be newer? Would they be from an older version of Firefox that's not compatible with the current Mac version? I also just noticed that even though the bookmarks folder was dated 6/9/2024 in Carbonite, the restored bookmarks do not show some fairly recent bookmarks I added earlier this year. Is there any way to get my files back?

The Windows laptop that crashed is stuck in a loop and says it's trying to repair the hard drive. Is there a way to get it turned on but not booted up and connect it via a USB cable and transfer files to the Mac that way?

Hello all. Having updated Firefox a few days ago, we can no longer sign into Instagram. This happens only on Firefox, only since the last update, and Firefox is the same browser we have been using for years with Instagram. The problem is the cookie permission window for Instagram a) will not make a selection and b) will not disappear/close. We have attached a screenshot. There are no close tabs/buttons anywhere on this window, and we have looked the full length of the expanded window. As we have not changed any other setting, have not added any software, and this only happens on Firefox, we can only conclude that we have missed something which may have changed or been upgraded with your last update. This is quite urgent, as this is to manage the Instagram account of a wildlife conservation charity. So far we have tried reinstalling Firefox, clearing cookies, and deactivating/uninstalling all add-ons, however this has solved nothing. Could anyone suggest a solution please? Mozila has a service for automatically translating website content into other languages. Unfortunately, the set of languages ​​does not include Russian, so that I could automatically translate information from sites, for example in Spanish, into Russian and read such information. In the settings I found a function to switch the language translation, but unfortunately there is no Russian language again. Please tell me how can I set up such a translation? Or is there no such service at all for the Russian language?
