Problem with music player and openwapp

Dear, I recently bought Alcatel Onetouch Fire C phone with Firefox OS pre-installed but whenever i try to open my music player it updates the library and restarts the phone and moreover i never get a verification code on OpenWapp which i installed and the same issue is with Loqui IM and ConnectA2 also. I don't know if there is some bug in code of the apps or there is the problem with the phone but please help me to fix this issues asap.

Hi hatim2708,

I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems with both the Music player, and third-party communication apps in your Firefox OS device.

The issue with ConnectA2, Loqui, and OpenWapp may be related to the Whatsapp networks. In the past, it has been suggested that users should stop attempting to register for about 48 hours and then attempt to receive the registration code once again.

If you need further assistance, you may contact the application's support channels directly.

After reading the information provided about your Music player issue I suggest a soft reset of the phone.

  1. Take the back cover of the phone off.
  2. Take the battery out.
  3. Take the SIM card and microSD card out (if applicable).
  4. Wait 10 seconds.
  5. Put the SIM card and microSD card back in (if applicable).
  6. Put the battery back in.
  7. Put the back cover back on.
  8. Turn the device on.
  9. Check if the issue you were having is still present.

If the problem persists, please write back including the following information:

  • What is the OS version and Build ID found in the Device Information page? Please visit this link if you need help finding the Build ID of your phone.
  • Is there an SD card inserted in your device? What happens if you remove it?
  • How often do you encounter this issue?

Please be sure to include as much detail as possible, including any websites that may exhibit this issue, and any error messages that you may be receiving, exactly as they appear. So far the only non official Whatsapp client that works is OpenWapp, they just release and update.

Try installing and doing the SMS registration if it dosen't work you need to wait several hours (Whatsapp only sends 1 sms message a day)

it still has issues, but is improving. Currently you can't chat person to person if the other person is using the new Whatsapp client which introduces a new encryption method. Solution is to make a group with that person.

Still better than nothing, but is a work in progress.
