hello

after mail app does a sync and retrieves the mails the little wheel on the screen keeps turning on and on and i cannot do anything, for example i cannot open a mail delete one, send a new one

this behavior stops after an unpredictable length of time, in between several minutes and a few tens of hours

right know the wheel is turning on and on for almost twenty hours within this time i removed the battery several times and relaunched the mail ap and it starts again with the wheel turning i have just tried removing the battery for a duration of one hour, same behavior

what can be done to at least kill the mail app

is it a Firefox OS bug a ZTE OpenC bug?

with this behavior this device cannot really be used

is there any chance that a device from another maker would behave better

thanks

I've had that problem with the ZTE Open some time ago. It turned out to be an issue with my IMAP setup. Mine got hung up because my desktop mail client had created the trash mailbox in the wrong location. Once I fixed that, I was able to use mail again.

Try to delete your mail account and then add it again. Then rather than tapping the trashcan icon to delete a message, try moving it to the Trash or Deleted Messages folder using the folder icon. That still works for me.
