Lockwise requires too many password login prompts.

more options

Lockwise requires me to input my password everytime I try to show a password. This is really annoying! I already input my master password when I opened the about:logins page. This used to not be a problem when I had the Lockwise extension installed. But now that Lockwise is not an extension, but instead integrated in the browser, I find it very annoying to copy passwords. If you are the browser developer, please revert back to the less annoying system of logging in only once with the master password!

Many thanks.

Hi gliu20, you're not the first person to find this inconvenient compared with the old dialog that unlocked all the passwords at once.

For the time being, you actually can still use the old dialog, although it probably will go away eventually. Here's how:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk.

(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste signon and pause while the list is filtered

(3) Double-click the signon.management.overrideURI preference to display a dialog where you can enter the desired value, delete the entire text, then click OK

If it doesn't work as expected, to switch back to the Lockwise page, right-click the preference and choose Reset.

By the way, I use Firefox 70.0.1 which is why Lockwise is integrated into the browser

Sorry, I meant the old built-in dialog, not the old Lockwise add-on dialog. Maybe that's not better?

Thank you. This is better, though I prefer the old Lockwise add-on dialog.

I am running Firefox version 72.0.2 on a mac running Catalina. I followed the above steps to bulk delete my saved passwords but it didn't appear to do anything. So I went back to Preferences -> Privacy & Security and under Logins and Passwords I selected the "Saved Logins..." button and in the pop up that opened there was an option to remove all passwords.

I don't know if I just missed it the first time but the above combination of steps appears to have allowed me to delete all passwords at once.
