I want to import my bookmarks into firefox for android from an file based format. html, json or xml anything... Using Sync is * not * an option because I * never* provide sensible personal information to cloud services. The most secure way to protect sensible data is simply not giving it away...

This requirement is not a new one: https://support.mozilla.org/de/questions/986583 https://support.mozilla.org/de/questions/979658

Please take a stand why you still persist to meet this simple requirement from many users though privacy is a major principle in the Mozilla Manifesto https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/about/manifesto/

I also do not understand this. But even when you get your bookmarks into firefox for android, you can not even organize them, it's quite a mess how this most basic feature is simply ignored. Or is it android? Under iOS with the iCab mobile browser its no problem, bookmarks bar, organisation, import-export AND firefox sync. Just that browser might get me back to iOS, android seems not to be made for actual use.
