Does Firefox provide firewall and/or security programs for my computer running on Windows 7? I cannot buy a new computer and want to make sure I am protected - my updates are up to date and I have had faith in Firefox. Otherwise, can I use an ADD-on to do the job? Please advise. thank you very much

I have been unable to sign into my bank account online (on this computer) . Been prompted to update my browser (Chrome, Safari, Forefox, Microsoft Edge), I checked my Firefox version, says up to date. Still unable to access. Spent hours frustrated. Please help. thank you so much

I just installed Fedora KDE Plasma, and have been trying to launch Firefox, but it keeps completely freezing.

I have tried installing through snap, flatpak and fedoras database, most recently I installed from the tar.xz on the website, and tried launching in safe mode. All of these result in the same behavior.

I have really liked using the "refresh" button with my Firefox browser. The "refresh" button has disappeared from one of my two Dell PC's (I use Windows Eleven, and my Dell PC's have solid state drive). I know there are two other "help" buttons ("troubleshoot mode" and "clear startup cache"). The "refresh" button has really helped me to keep my Firefox browser working properly with my two Dell PC's. Thank you for any comments you might have about this.

Heya,

I am the maintainer of the British Dictionary.

For one year that I have been working in the "shadows" on my version of US+Canada+Australian, to be released on 1-JAN-2026.

Can I add your list of proper names (~5000 words) to my dictionaries and release the dictionaries as LGPL?

Thank you!

On google search bar- where is the microphone, or dictation icon. How do I add it. I have windows 11 and using Mozilla firefox as my default web browser. I have search the settings and cannot find it. Please send instructions to add it to the bar. If I were to use chrome/google they have it and I know Firefox did have it. Thank you

The Reply/Forward bar at the bottom of each email is something I would like to remove from my laptop screen. It consumes over 20% of my screen area. As I have vision issues, this is a waste of viewable space that would be better used showing the contents of each email.

Overall, Firefox displays too many fixed items like toolbars, etc. that reduce the usable working area meaning that I scroll (both side-to-side and up-to-down) so much to see the full contents of an email that I sometimes lose the context.

Is there a setting that will remove this bar & others from my screen? I know the menu selections for these functions and definitely do NOT need a full-size bar that I never use and wastes scarce screen space.

Thanks Tom Friedrich

Firefox just auto installed the latest version 145.0. After about 15-20 minutes of usage, Firefox stops responding and hangs. I ran the Task Manager (Windows 11) and found Firefox was consuming 96% of the available memory. I have to kill the task to regain control. I'm left with switching to a new browser and will probably never go back.
