I just updated to Windows 2004, and I'm noticing a major problem with Firefox. I don't know if the problem is with Firefox or Windows, but basically, here's what happens:

-I have multiple tabs open -I put the computer to sleep for about an hour or so, without exiting -When I wake the computer, Firefox becomes unresponsive and freezes -Even if I force it to quit through Task Manager, it's still unresponsive if I launch it again -If I restart, I can use it again

Is there a way to fix this, or am I just an idiot for installing the new Windows update?

Is there an easier and quicker way to locate userChrome.css in the Style Editor tab of the Remote Debugger window?

It isn't exactly fun scrolling down through 25-50 entries to locate it. I often miss it and then have to rescroll. It would be nice if it was always the very first one listed in the list. Or if it was a different color like blue or something. Or if there was a CTRL + F feature so I could just search for "userchrome". Is there anything I can do to make the process of locating it faster?

Thanks in advance.

When I normally open the firefox browser on my laptop the firefox account is signed in all the time and has no issue but as soon as I start sync it disconnects and when I login it shows the login success page but when I click on the "continue to navigate" the account disconnects again. Tried with temporary mode without add-ons and gave whitelisted firefox.com but it's still the same. The sync never bothered me before but I'm changing computer and I need transfer the browser data on the new computer. Can anyone help? Using Window 10, firefox version 78.0.2 (64 bit)

I saved my settings prior to windows upgrade in hopes of having a smooth transition post-upgrade. i created a firefox account quickly and didn't pay attention to the auto-generated password created (and clearly didn't read on to understand the impact of a forgotten password in this setting).

after upgrade- because i couldn't remember my password and had to reset, everything is lost- bookmarks etc. is there any hopes of recovering this?

True Key closes down every time I close Firefox. I have True Key set to close every 7 days...and it works perfectly on my other browsers...yet Firefox won't keep it open. I must logon every time. I have fiddled with the settings, but can't seem to get past this. Can someone help? I want True Key to shut down with my settings in the app...not the browser. This problem has kept me from using Firefox and I would rather use Firefox. Thanks for your help!

How to login into FireFox account at https://accounts.firefox.com/signin - by using Dashlane password manager extension in FireFox (assume that FireFox browser has Dashlane extension properly configured, and that Dashlane auto-login is working correctly with other sites, from FireFox browser)?

It seems that login option is unavailable, but why? Why doesn't FireFox allow to have and use both? Or, at least - choose which one to use, and where? But specifically, on FireFox login? Can it be (at least) configured to work with 2FA hardware solutions, like with Yubico keys?

Also, if I understood this correctly, FireFox Lockwise can import usernames and passwords only from other browsers - but not from password managers? So, let's assume that I want to import everything from Dashlane into FireFox Lockwise, how should I do that in a most secure way? And which data would NOT be imported?

Thanks.

Hi all,

I am new to the forum. I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop with Windows 10 x64. I am quite good in informatics. The specs of the hardware are very good, it has 16 GB ram and SSD. The problem is that Firefox is very sluggish every other time I restart the PC. I use only a few add-ons and plugins. When I restart in safe mode, it still supersluggish. For instance, I play speed chess online and I lose because the animation is not moving, the chessboard freezes. It takes like half a minute to open Gmail and start a new email. To open anything, it takes ages. It takes ages to respond to a click on a webpage. Restarting the PC normally resolves the problem. I have Avast antivirus, Zonealarm firewall and I regularly run spyware scan too. My drivers are up-to-date. The laptop works well otherwise. Even when Firefox becomes sluggish, the overall RAM and CPU usage is below 20%. My internet is 100 Mbit/s, wireless.

I already refreshed and reinstalled Firefox. No help. It simply just does not want to work sometimes, and I have to restart. Every time I reinstall Firefox, I have to turn off hardware acceleration, otherwise no video content can be played (it shows a black screen with the spinning wheel). Any suggestion will be appreciated.

I could really use some help here please - I am so very lost.

Suddenly, I stopped getting email notifications from Facebook, I left it awhile thinking it would work itself out but it hasn't.

I've searched the internet everywhere looking for solutions, adding another email address just in case the Facebook couldn't send to the primary (didn't work).

I logged onto Facebook, went to Notifications scrolled down to Browser and turned "ON" Firefox Push Notifications but that kept turning itself off when I logged out of Facebook.

Firefox Browser "Lock" clicked on the lock where I found "permissions Send Notifications Allowed X" clicked on the "Allowed X" then message read "you have not grated this site any special permissions"

Well, I'm totally lost - why can't my setting just stay the way they are because I do not understand computer language and if I don't want anything changed "for the better" why should things change on me?????

I don't know what to do next - could someone please help me.
