No multiple tab option in FF 3.6.16 and no Norton menu bar in FF 4.

In FF 3.6.16 I lost the multiple tab function so I upgraded (prematurely) to FF 4, wher I lost my Norton menu bar and its functions. So back to FF 3.6.16, where I had to uninstall the "ask" menu bar to get the multiple tab function back. That's where I'm now, slightly irritated.
