Does anyone know how to do this?

To give a better description:

1) I partially type a website I've visited into the address bar and the history recommendations show up. For example, I type "yout", the address bar shows "youtube.com"

2) I middle mouse click on the "youtube.com" recommendation to open it in a new tab.

3) Firefox is instantly swapping me to that tab and ignoring the behavior I changed for tabs.

I have "browser.tabs.loadBookmarksInBackground" set to true. When I use middle mouse on a link on a website, the behavior works as intended. The link opens in a separate tab but keeps me in the same tab from which I clicked.
