Dear Sir,

My Thunderbird's Message filters (42 filters on ...@yahoo.co.uk account) have stopped running automatically. I found thread at Moz://a Support that had similar symptoms described:

https://support.mozilla.org/bm/questions/1369998

When I tried to "Log in / Sign up" I was suggested by the Moz://a Support forum to use my Firefox account. I have already started two threads and responded to another thread using this account. I added my problem particulars into the thread.

I can see that I'm the last person to add something to this thread as my alias (-PSi- ) is visible at the top of the thread: "Last reply by -PSi-". However my post is not there!

When I visited my "answers" page I can saw that I've responded to this thread and I can even see the beginning of my post there, and a link to the thread which however does not contain my post.

Am I under quarantine?

If I am, then why the Moz://a Support adds the mention "Last reply by -PSi-" to a thread but not the post if I'm still under suspicion?

   Windows 10: v. 21H1 (OS Build 19043.1766), Thunderbird: 91.10.0 (32-bit)
   Xubuntu: 20.04.4 LTS (XFC), Thunderbird: 91.5.0 (64-bit)
[no errors mentioned at Message filters logs!]

Posts like yours which contain URLs are flagged as potential spam. I have fixed it.

p.s. you would be much better off posting your problem as its own topic.

Dear Wayne,

The thing is that at the time I posted my post to the thread:

- Why I was not told that my post was supicious? - Why I was not told why it was suspicious? - Why my alias was attached to the thread without the post?

Why I did not open yet another thread for my question?

I think there are enough threads about automatic filters not working:

I'm grateful to Thunderbird vouluntary team for having the Thunderbird, and that only the settings have gone into double font size and triple line spacing lark — the trademarks of todays modern programming.

I would suggest you familiarize yourself with the guidelines. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/mozilla-support-rules-guidelines#w_spam Then follow the instruction in the article if you want to engage with Mozilla about their policies. There is nothing we can do about how the forum works or how it does or does not meet your expectations. That is all decided by Mozilla and their employees really.

It does not matter what you think is an appropriate number of threads about a topic. It is your penchant for posting links outside the forum that got you into difficulty with the software in the first place. Now you have done it again. Posted the same link again, just after being told posting links gets your posts marked as spam.

Now like Wayne, I suggest you create your own personalized topic about your issue with filters. Before you do run Thunderbird in troubleshoot mode and ensure that the issue still persists in that mode. It is amazing how many topics over the years about filters involve incompatible addons and themes etc. Just as we appear to have a cottage industry of storing profiles on network shares, nas devices and even synced to the cloud. All of which could have specific issues where filters are concerned. Likewise I have seen many posts from Linux users who are trying to share profiles with Windows and bad things usually occur.

Am I a long way from "my filters don't work"? I think so, but that is why a personal topic is required the issues are complex. If is not like flicking a light switch and when it does not work someone tells you to check the fuse. Are the neighbors light on?
