I am having trouble opening a page from autohotkey. Half the time, my run command causes Firefox to issue a message that it must be closed in order to open the page. "Firefox is already running. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window." I think this is somehow related to which profile is to be used. I have insured, from profile-manager, that my current and desired profile are one and the same. I do not include the profile parameter in my RUN command.

I run FF 88. I don't think that matters. As a possible solution, I installed a PORTABLE version of FF94. Same problem still occurs. I was very careful to make sure each has separate PROFILE folders etc.

I am baffled as to how to fix this. It only started a month or two ago. I don't know what triggered it. I don't think it was any particular FF update, because I DO NOT ALLOW automatic updates and perform updates only every 6 months or so.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
