I have a problem. I have seen that there have been discussions about this in the past. Unfortunately I have not found a solution and the discussions are all archived.

Now to the problem: Various pages have no favicon in Firefox when I drag them into the bookmark bar as a bookmark. However, when the page is active in the tab, a favicon is visible there.

The problem does not seem to be unique to me. Several people have tested it. It also seems to be a problem in Firefox only. In other browsers, this problem does not occur.

What can website owners do to fix this problem?

I have installed the LastPass extension for Firefox, more than once, but the LastPass icon does not appear in my browser bar. It used to be there, but disappeared a few weeks ago. I have tried to reinstall the extension, but it has had no effect.

I wish to export, and not copy, a digital certificate so that I can import it to Keychain on my Mac. The only option in Firefox Browser on Mac is to copy, which means it only opens as a TextEdit and cannot be imported.

i have been using Tor.browser as my default web browser on Macbook for months. Firefox is my 2nd, but two days ago, i was kicked out of Tor, cannot download/use it anymore and the reasons given are as follows:

"Tor.browser quit unexpectedly. Click Reopen to open the application again. Click Report to see more detailed information." Ignore Report Reopen (options)

when i have deleted and tried to re-install tor browser, I get the notification that

"Tor Browser quit unexpectedly". No matter what I do

 (I have since done both, obviously & have tried many other things, including trying to Time Travel, which I am not 100% sure how to yet).  the Report states Firefox is responsible for blocking Tor.  how did this happen and suggestions on how to fix.  I have to access Tor to find some pertinent files etc. I have stored there.  thanks

My computer died today due to water damage, which means I can't turn it back on again. I got a new computer, I've looked all over the Firefox support websites, and can't find a solution as to how to get all of my Firefox data onto this new computer. I tried the profile page, but it looks like a profile for my old computer's Firefox never even existed. I have no idea where to find any of my old data.

I have a Mac with Sonoma. Somehow a while ago I ended up with Firefox ESR, which I was told that will not be supported after September.

I am a non-technical user. While I do have Safari and Chrome, I would prefer to continue using Firefox.

Could you please let me know the steps to execute to somehow switch from the ESR version to the current normal version without loosing settings, bookmarks or ending up with problems? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I love the new, little weather app/temperature icon in the upper left of the Firefox home page. HOWEVER, I really want to change it to a city closer to me. I looked up how to do it, but the directions seem WRONG. I cannot hover and find any way to change locations. Is it because I'm on a Mac? or ?

Can you help me? I'm using an iMac computer... everything works, it's updated, what could be wrong?

Hi, I have just returned from China. I use a Macbook Pro and am operating Firefox 118.0.2 (64-bit) I now find that when I use Firefox to access websites blocked in China (i.e google, the Guardian) I get a "Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue" message. I can access everything with a VPN active I also got this for Microsoft Edge but the problem resolved by clearing cookies (didn't work for firefox) How can I fix this

Everything started when I was fed up with ads on youtube. I purchased ad blocks. Then I had troubles with ad blocks. Ad blocks keeps breaking down. It will work for a few weeks then cracking. This went on for a long time until finally they said I had an old version, that I have to download the current version and they sent me a link. I tried it and then the link said I have to choose a paying option. I knew that's not a special link. They just sent me the same link for buying a new adblocks. I subscribed a 5 year program. And their service didn't even last a year.

In the mean time google keep flashing the ad of subscribing to youtube with a prime service.

But I started to download Firefox. I had a terrible time downloading it. I failed a couple of times. I finally managed to download and install Firefox. In the mean time the suspicion about google is messing around with my account started.

I haven't been happy with google for a long time, ever since they started to monitor people's comments on youtube. So after I deleted my videos and then I went into troubles of making comments on youtube. Finally I succeeded changing the code they gave me to a name I can remember. In the mean time they discontinued my account. All kind of things happening to me. I finally shrugged them off as a matter of miscommunication. But the flashing ads became a flashing warnings, something like you must choose google or discontinue adblocks. Then I started searching if there's a battle between google and adblocks. Finally firefox came through, and I was still troubled by annoying ads. Finally I got so mad, I just deleted adblocks completely out of my computer. And somehow I found firefox has an option I can turn on to block the ads. Ever since then I was enjoying watching youtube again. And google's warning became more frequent and I just close the window without choosing any options.

All through this period, I ran into troubles with my computer on and off. I keep telling myself it's because my grandson is playing with my computer. But I cannot help thinking things are really getting out of hand. I need some help.

My grandson finally getting used to using my daughter's computer. I really shouldn't have that much trouble any longer. This morning when the stock market started trading. My Robinhood page didn't update and showing the durrent stock prices. It went on for a while. I googled if the market is on holiday. It's not a holiday. Then I tried to refresh the page, and nothing works. I finally deleted the page and started a new page. Then it worked. This went on for about an hour. It seriously disturbed me a great deal. I chatted with Robinhood, and they said they didn't have any trouble with their internet. I know it's time to ask help from Firefox. It's google messing up with my account. I am trying to have a biometric authorization with touch ID on Mac, and it says on the website that the option should pop up when i go to the password settings, but it doesn't, and I don't know how to do it otherwise, or if I should use an extension for example. My Firefox browser always shows nine icons for sites I regularly visit. That's nice. Lately, though, icons for sites I do not want keep popping up displacing ones I do. I delete them and get my favorites back but it's really annoying. Can you stop this?

After Firefox updated my browser version to 129.0, my username and password no longer work on my credit card website. I contacted tech support at the credit card banking site through a live phone call. I told them about the upgrade and also that I can use Firefox on my iPhone to login successfully. I don't know what version is currently on my iPhone but it does work there. This problem is specifically on my Mac Mini. I also can login using same password and username on the Mac through Safari. Their tech support said the problem is with that version (129.0) Firefox web browser. What say you? Thanks.

A white horizontal line in the top of the screen, whilst watching movies in tv5mondeplus.com. This issue happens when installed the recent update 129.0.

Tested in other browsers and doesn't appear the white horizontal line on top.

1. Close Firefox (FF) with some tabs open 2. While FF is closed the websites are updated 3. Open Firefox, tabs reopen 4. Go to tabs

Expected: Tabs should the latest version of the website (ie the page has been refreshed)

Actual: Tabs are showing the old, previous (cached) versions of the website and not refreshing to show the latest

User has to manuall refresh each tab to see the latest version of the page

Are other people seeing this issue?
