What kind of pop-ups do you mean?

Do a malware check with some malware scan programs.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database before doing a scan.

These popups seem to come from Firefox because they're advertising add ons, etc. for Firefox. I regularly run trend house call and they don't detect anything wrong. I also run win utilities, regzooka, wise disk cleaner. No malware.

Firefox itself (if you got it from mozilla.com wmozilla.org) doe Not come with any form of advertising. However after you do Extensions updates they sometimes redirect you to a page related to the extension upon restart of Firefox.

Is there a website page it goes to ?

Mozilla is sending me popup advertising for Mozilla products. Firefox's popup feature won't block popups from Mozilla. Firefox popup blocker works fine on all popup ads other than from Mozilla. Please stop pretending that this is not intentional conduct by Mozilla.

I don't understand most of the instructions in Firefox' help system concerning blocking popups by use of extensions and third party blockers. It should not be necessary to learn that material. All it should take is for Mozilla to stop using popups for advertising.

I understand the instructions concerning malware and have followed them. No malware found. I don't believe these popups are malware because I don't believe anyone would write malware designed to advertise Firefox products.

If Mozillia won't stop using popups advertising on my computer I will give up on Firefox. That should solve the problem.

Please Stop.

Sorry for the double post.

Mozilla do not use pop-ups to advertise their products.

There are some malicious sites that claim to offer Mozilla products but are actually trying to get people to install malware.

Here is a snap shot of what I experience. You decide where it comes from.

That pop-up is not from Mozilla and it is not advertising a Mozilla product.

On the site where the pop-up originates, there is an option to "click to opt out" - http://www.optmd.com/

Did you read the top of the attachment? It clearly says where it's from. If they're lying, where does it come from? I never said it was an advertisement. Just an annoying popup.

That does not mean the pop-up is from Mozilla. The Firefox titlebar by default will have Mozilla Firefox written in it, that also applies to pop-ups in Firefox regardless of where the pop-up originates from. In this case it originates from the optmd.com site, not from Mozilla.

I've gone to optmd.com and opted out of receiving pop unders. If this works, thank you very much.

It clearly states in your image that is came from http://cdn.optmde.com as I guess you missed this part and was focused on title bar instead.

Ok well I guess you now believe us that Mozilla does not do popuup advertisements and know the Mozilla Firefox in title bar is just part of the window regardless of what is being displayed in window.

Good thing you posted the image as otherwise I would have asked you to post a screen shot of a example of what you are seeing.

Thank you. My low opinion of Mozilla as a result of the popup ads was inaccurate and unjust. I'm relieved to know that the ads are from a malware site.

That leaves open my complaint that Firefox popup blocker feature doesn't work on that particular sort of popup. My version is 3.6.13, which is the latest according to the Firefox website. I assume Mozilla if feverishly working on that problem.
