Restoring bookmarks from places.sqlite
Updated to Win8.1 and I didn't backup bookmarks! Have found the places.sqlite under Windows.old - how do I restore these bookmarks?

You can copy some files from a previously used profile to the current profile folder.
You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)
