Good Evening Firefox OS Pro's :)

I just got my new Flame, flashed the base image (http://cds.w5v8t3u9.hwcdn.net/Flame_2.0_v180_1.zip) and the rest (http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/b2g/nightly/latest-mozilla-b2g32_v2_0-flame-kk/) according to the MDN (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Firefox_OS/Developer_phone_guide/Flame#Updating_your_Flame's_software).

The phone boots and everything is working fine. However after executing the steps under the headline "Switch to nightly update channel" I got an update notification, but the update failed to install with the error message: "there was an error while downloading the updates".

Edit: The error message appeared during the "Uncompressing...". After it failed the notification is there again.

So... I noticed that the update channel was nightly-b2g32 before I changed it with the script to nightly. What is the difference between these two? Is nightly the wrong channel for 2.0?

Thanks in advance :D

i am using B2G 2.2.0.0, update never completed. i think this is bug, when i hit the Download button, the "Uncompressing..." take in many hours, and loop again and again.

system update REQUIRED 68.43 MB

Later Download

If so, than the naming wouldn't make much sense since 2.1 is based on Gecko 34 (Releases). However I flashed the phone again and left the channel to nightly-b2g32. Except a very small update for the marktplace nothing happened the last 3 days.

Edit: This is an answer to guigs2. I clicked on the Reply button below his post, so shouldn't it appear below it?

Hi m42kus,

I have the same problem as you. This bug is due to a lack of space on the phone's /system partition: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1073399

For now, there is only a workaround (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1073399#c9) requiring you to delete most fonts (which will prevent non-ASCII character from being displayed).

Thank you! that helped :) But since I live in Austria, non-ASCII chars are pretty important to me, a proper fix would be awesome. I'm devenitly gonna follow these bug.

Concerning my previous post: Leaving the channel to b2g32 hasn't resolved that issue. The first "bigger" (not the small marktplace update) update showed the same behavior as the nightly update (I guess they were the same? A of the various update channels would be really nice by the way).
