I've 5 accounts and just one account set to automatically download, I recently moved a portable install to a new win 10 installation and despite that no settings were changed I've noticed that I'm getting e-mails from other accounts automatically downloaded too, Weirdly, these auto downloaded mails are also downloading into the folder that when you click presents a front page with options for that account - i.e. they don't go directly into the inbox which is also odd. This problem also seems to be intermittent i.e. it sometimes seem to auto download and other times it doesn't. Now, just minutes before I posted this question I realized that I've 4 accounts on the same server and that they each have the same server name entry point and the single account that is set to automatically download has the same AND I'm pretty sure that the account on the separate server hasn't automatically downloaded any mails BUT as I get few e-mails to that account I cannot be certain that it's NOT automatically downloading. So, I've set the auto downloading account to NOT automatically download just to see if doing this stops this happening with the other accounts. It could be that it's started to download from all accounts on the same server WHEN an e-mail arrives that is to the account that is / was set to automatically download (this would account for it appearing to be intermittent!!! All of this started when I moved to win 10!!! Any insights would be appreciated . . .
