some feedback on the OS - 24 h clock, languages, copy and paste

A few comments about Firefox OS: I just bought a ZTE phone with Firefox OS, it is a nice OS and works well, no lagging, and quite easy to use. But, the choice of languages is limited, and if I select the only English option (USA) then I am stuck with am/pm clock, with no option to change it to 24 hour clock. Not all English speakers want to use am/pm, and not all English speakers using this phone are in the USA. If I select a different language, e.g. German, then I get 24 hour clock. We need the option of am/pm or 24 hour clock regardless of location and language. I actually work for a US company in London and we have to use the 24 hour clock only. Keyboard: why does it only show capital letters regardless of whether I am typing lower case or capitals? My Android phone shows lower case and types lower case, or shows capitals and types capitals. Firefox OS would be better if the keys on the keyboard showed exactly what will be typed. OS version: why does my phone only have 1.3, when a lot of the apps in the Firefox Marketplace require 2.0? How can I update the OS? And is it possible to select text and copy and paste? I cannot seem to do this.

The User Advocacy team reviews all feedback and reports on them to the product teams and relevant parties, helping to influence future versions of the product.

The 24-hour format on the clock has been implemented on newer versions of Firefox OS. The development was tracked on bug 903683.

The copy and paste is also actively being implemented for v2.2 onwards. The development is being tracked on bug 1023688.

As far as the version of your device: manufacturers are responsible for the release of updates, which includes testing and optimizing the build for specific hardware devices.

Depending on your device, it may be possible to root and manually update it, but this is likely to void the warranty.
