Each time I click to open a file browser (for example, to attach a file in gmail), latest firefox 46.0 abruptly crashes. Following is the error it prints in the terminal from which i open firefox.

(firefox:12872): GLib-GIO-ERROR **: attempting to create schema 'org.gtk.Settings.FileChooser' without a path Trace/breakpoint trap

Old versions of firefox works without any problem. Google Chrome also works without any issue. I tried "Refresh Firefox" to remove all addons, but that didn't help. This problem is only there in the freshly downloaded latest firefox version (46.0).

Following is my system configuration $ uname -a Linux porteus-ATMA 3.16.1-porteus-ATMA #3 SMP PREEMPT Mon Oct 20 14:05:54 Local time zone must be set-- x86_64 Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2330M CPU @ 2.20GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux

How do I go about trouble shooting what is causing this problem? I assume it has something to do with GLib in my machine..
