Since updating my iMac to OS X 10.6.7, Firefox 3.6.10 crashes frequently. Where should I start looking for the problem? (Safari browser is fine)

With my update to Mac OS 10.6.7 several days ago, Firefox crashes frequently when doing things like: going to a link where Firefox blocks a pop-up (especially ones from google news), when trying to submit from a "Contact" site on Firefox (not this current one), and many other activities. I'm now mainly using Safari, but I'd like to be able to use Firefox again. I've attached the beginning of the "Problem Details and System Configuration" in the Troubleshooting info.

You may have some corrupted fonts. Try this! Open Font Book in your applications folder. Choose "Select All" from the Edit menu. Then choose "Validate Fonts" from the File menu. Validation will proceed in a pop-up window. Once validation is complete, you can expect to see red or yellow flags next to some of your fonts. Click on the check boxes next to the flagged fonts. Click the "Remove Checked" button. Quit Font Book. I think you may find the crashes, which seemed to affect both Firefox 3.6.15 and 3.6.16, as well, go away.

Removing the the yellow and red flagged prompts seems to have solved the problem -- at least the once I could easily reproduce, so far. Thank you!!!
