Firefox can't find any servers suddenly, no changes were made

Firefox is my browser on my iMac that I click on when I want to go on Internet or to my favorites list. I have not done anything to make it now say "Server not found." Firefox can't find the server at whatever web address I put down My Firefox is 19.0 , latest version but I did that some time ago. Have not touched Firefox to have it not working now. Safari does work, Firefox is the only problem.
