Where do I Go to Download, Video Download Helper v. 4.9.10 ?

more options

My day started with a New Browser format (http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/central/) From there my Download Helper Icon disappeared...even though at You Tube the Icon does appear to & seems to work. Next I went to (http://www.downloadhelper.net/install.php) but that was No Help...problem only got worse. Maybe If I went to Another Computer and found an OLD Version (copy & paste) I could get the Icon back. Why does this have to be so hard since I'm at Mozilla Support? After looking for my old version in My Files and trying to find my old DH it had been replaced with a tryout version. Nothing worked better than the old version...prove me wrong... give me Video Download Helper v. 4.9.10.

Chosen solution

Open the Customize window to set which toolbar items to display:

  • View > Toolbars > Customize
  • Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout
  • If missing items are in the toolbar palette then drag them back from the Customize window on the toolbar
  • If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up

You can check for problems with the localstore.rdf file if the above didn't help.

User Manual - http://www.downloadhelper.net/manual.php

  • In the first section "Using DownloadHelper" there is an explanation about the icon.
    • The instructions on that page to get the icon on the toolbar are when using the Menu bar (View/Toolbar/Customize).
    • Alternates for getting the Customize screen open are 1). click Firefox button in upper left corner > Options > Toolbar Layout or 2). right-click on the Navigation toolbar and choose Customize.
