Hi,

Please note that the option would be inactive until a form box on a web page has been filled and submitted, or a search word on the top right search box has been entered and searched. Also, Remember search and form history in Tools (Alt + T) > Options > Privacy has to be enabled, if Firefox will is set to Use custom settings for history. Otherwise Firefox will should be set to Remember history. Options > Privacy

Thank You for helping me understand why this was happening another thing I can stop wondering about. Good! ; )

I tried all of the listed options, and nothing works. I still have unwanted saved information in my forms and no matter how many times I go to gmail, click on the pull-down menu for my user name and then go to tools, clear recent history, un-check everything except forms & history, when I go back to my gmail sign-in - ALL user names (that I don't want shown) are STILL listed in the drop down menu. How do I get EVERYTHING in ALL forms to clear correctly?

Use these steps to remove saved (form) data from a drop down list:

  1. Click the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop down list
  2. Highlight an entry in the drop down list
  3. Press the Delete key (on Mac: Shift+Delete) to remove it.
  • Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"
