The updater is turned off until a 7.0.1 version can be made ready for release, to fix a problem being updated at the same time the Firefox update is installed. Shouldn't be more than a few days before that happens.

What bug number is this? I couldn't find it on bugzilla

Also, why did my Windows 7 desktop go ahead and update, then? And, more importantly, does that mean the version of 7.0 I have on it is broken in some way?

Now you can see why I want the bug number, so I can get more information.
