Hi xPLAGUEx

This might be a problem with your graphics display driver.

Which graphics display card do you have?

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

I've ran MalwareBytes, and Spybot S&D and have Windows Defender running. Unless I am missing something very, very arcane this machine is malware/spyware/virus free.

Hello,

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.

You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).

Then perform these steps:

  • Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
  • In the Firefox options window click the Advanced tab, then select "General".
  • In the settings list, you should find the Use hardware acceleration when available checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
  • Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:

Thank you.

Ok I am having this issue. Firefox crashes LOADS. It's crashing in less than a minute in many cases when on Facebook. Other sites don't seem to be as bad but still getting the crashing.

Here is a list of last few crash reports. I have went to safe mode with no effect or noticable change. I have made sure all add ons are up to date on my own and rechecked with the firefox plug in checker. All are up to date. I have uninstalled EVERYTHING and reinstalled firefox with no better results, Then reinstalled flash and such and still same results. Any help would be a godsend as I am at the end of my rope now . thanks

I have disable that earlier. At first I thought it helped but within 20 minutes I was getting the crashes again.

Can't really say if it was a pause in the crashing as normal or a pause because of the change in setting.
But this setting has been disabled and still I have these crashes :(

There is a bug report linked from your crash report that mentions this graphics display card.

  • bug 902349 - crash in nsStyleSet::FileRules with AMD Radeon HD 6310

Please DO NOT comment in bug reports: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/page.cgi?id=etiquette.html

I'm not sure if there is a workaround possible at this time.

Ok I tried everything with no luck. I looked for any new drivers and/or software for my graphics card as well but it listed as up to date.

I finally just installed Aurora and now it works fine.

I am happy using Aurora as I used to use it anyways. So I am content now :)
