I just got a new laptop and installed Firefox. It will freeze on pages and go black to server error. There isn't anything wrong with my internet or when I try and search something it will say connecting on the tab and just cut out too.

Server not found means that there is a problem with your internet connection, please try to restart your Firefox and if the problem persist try restarting your laptop too.

Also when I tried to send this message it paused again and came up server not found.

Issues have been previously linked to the McAfee Site Advisor extension. Try to disable it and see if the problem persists.

To disable it: Type "about:addons" in the Location bar Find the extension and click on its "Disable" button

It is possible that your firewall or other security software blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full, unrestricted, access to install for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
