Subject: Persistent SMTP block on specific Outlook account (IMAP functional) Problem Description: Systematic failure of outgoing emails via SMTP on Mozilla Thunderbird for the address redacted@outlook.be. Crucial Note: Incoming mail (IMAP) works perfectly with the same credentials, proving that the authentication and the password used are correct. Technical Data & Actions Taken: SMTP Configuration: Server smtp.office365.com, Port 587, STARTTLS (or port 465 SSL/TLS). Authentication: Using a 16-character App Password generated after enabling Two-Step Verification. Symptom: Systematic rejection of the SMTP connection (Command Error 12 or timeout). Other Outlook accounts configured on the same Thunderbird client and the same internet connection (Belgium) are working without any issues. Tests Performed: Complete purge of Thunderbird's password manager, alias verification, and full restart of network equipment. Conclusion: Since the reception service is operational and full access is functional via Webmail/Outlook App, the block is specific to the SMTP protocol for this particular account on the Microsoft server side. Hello, sometimes memories pop up that I want to stop repeating. The button for this is “close” or "close all" in German. But the popup menu doesn't disappear. That bothers me a lot. I can't say at the moment whether only the dates from the addresses are affected.

Is there a document somewhere that gives the meanings/explanations of all the choices when selecting settings for a Thunderbird account ? When I go through the settings there are many choices that I do not know what they mean, and finding each separately could take hours ...

Why do I have to do this every time?

Is there a setting I can adjust? Or is this just how it is with Gmail?

I recently went back from Thunderbird daily to the release channel when I set up my new PC.

1. On opening an email - The Subject display in Daily Version is Bold and according to the font as set in Thunderbird Settings. Just Perfect. It is not the same in the Release Channel. Looks not so nice.

2. In Release Channel -- under settings If I choose to display the "Name Only" under Message List for address display format. It ignores

3. Release channel is ver 146.0.1 .. If I go back to Thunderbird daily .. will I be able to use the same profile used for the Release channel?

I have a new Brother printer MFC-L3780CDW. I can print from Foxfire internet, I can print from Microsoft Word. I can go to my Comcast online account and print emails, but I cannot print an email from Thunderbird from my desk top. I right click the email to bring up the menu. I select print and nothing happens. It dont bring up a print preview window to select printer. It does nothing. My old printer was also a Brother MFC, just an older model. everything worked fine. I called brother and they say since everything else prints it must be a problem in the Thunderbird Application

Is there a way to talk to someone?

I put in what was required, but it didn't work.

And after that, I don't have a clue what to do next.

While I am a management consultant and do not understand how to code and develop software beyond the most surface levels, I wish to contribute this idea towards development of Thunderbird.

One of the most important components of an email client is the editor. There have been many requests for changes in the Thunderbird mail editor in the past. I wish to propose a strategic solution to this issue.

The solution that I offer is that this team of independent contributors builds a word processor like Microsoft Word, does so under the umbrella of Thunderbird, so that there are no copyright issues in using that editor for composing email in Thunderbird, and uses that editor as a stand alone editor as well as an editor for composing emails within Thunderbird.

I am not aware if the Linux Word Processing Editor can be used for Thunderbird as a sharing between two community software initiatives, but that aspect can also be explored by talking directly to Linux.

1) Thunderbird 128.12.0es refuses to disable conversation mode, when View/Sort by/Unthreaded is selected for a folder.

2) Thunderbird 128.12.0es does not show the number of selected messages in the Status Bar when I select multiple messages, instead showing the number of selected conversations.

How can I disable conversation mode?

I don't like threaded conversations view. I turned it off so my inbox doesn't show it any more, but search results do and I find it impossible to find what I need. Is it possible to turn off ALL of those threading features across the entire program? Thanks

Just wondering why our forum posts can't also be black on black, or white on white, etc? Seems like the forum is stuck in the past, still doing the old black on white, as if anyone cares about being able to see the text.

Hi, I'm using Thunderbird version 140.0 on Windows 10 and trying to change the background of the message pane. I've tried:

1. messagepanebox {

   background-color: #e6f3ff !important; 

}

but it only changes the upper part and I can't find a way to target the whole flex container or the lower part. There is a forum response (titled Message preview pane background) that targets the message pane:

and that fills the message pane when its blank at startup but it disappears when selecting a message from the list.

I can add the background-color statement to :root in Developer Tools and that only works for the current selected message. How can I change the background of the entire Message Pane - the upper and lower part that contains the contents of the message - for each message that is selected? Thanks, David

1. I have invested time to setup all my accounts on my mobile after importing the setup from the Thunderbird from Windows desktop. How can I automatically import all of the setup from either my mobile or Windows Machine to my macbook?

2. How can I use Bitwarden password utility on my mozilla Thunderbird? i have checked and there is no add on for it.
