Hi, I am using Firefox 62.0.2 (64-bit) on macOS High Sierra 10.13.6. I added into System settings -> Keyboard -> Shortcuts -> App Shortcuts this keys: COPY CTRL + C CUT CTRL + X etc. I am also using a window keyboard. This shortcuts work on all apps. With my keyboard I am also able to use the "home", "end", "Page Up" and "Page Down" keys in all the apps.

All the apps except for firefox. In firefox none of this shortcuts and keys work. If I go to Firefox -> Edit I can see that the function copy etc are all associated with CTRL + C etc shortcuts. In addition if I do CTRL+C I can notice that the Edit menù entry get highlighted. What's the problem? I have also tried to restart my laptop but nothing happened

Scenario: using the default Google search from the address bar sends the query to Google.com instead of the user's localized Google.

This is a problem because the tools menu on Google.com does not include the country selector which allows a user to display local only results. For anyone, which is pretty much anyone outside of the US, this is an extremely useful feature for using Google and filtering results.

Currently the only solution I have found to fix this problem is to edit the google.xml file inside omni.ja file by changing the following line:

<Url type="text/html" method="GET" template="https://www.google.com/search" rel="searchform">

to:

<Url type="text/html" method="GET" template="https://www.google.co.za/search" rel="searchform">

However, this solution is less than ideal because because I will have to re-apply the change every time Firefox replaces omni.ja when it updates to a newer version. I have tried using addons to fix this problem, but I had issues in that either suggestions didn't work or the results defaulted to local results only.

Every other browser under the sun correctly redirects search terms to the country specific Google, so it would be great if Mozilla could join the party and fix an issue that has been plaguing Firefox for as long as I can remember.

For the last 2 weeks, firefox (62.0.2 (64-bit)) is constantly opening tabs with adds. I have completely wiped out and reinstalled firefox. I have run it without any extensions or add-ons except what is there by default when installing firefox. I am pretty certain it's malware. I tried everything described on this page: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-caused-malware to no avail. I do not browse any dodgy sites that I'm aware of. I do not play games on my computer at all. I ran a lot of different malware cleaners but they either don't find anything or whatever they do find and remove is not making a difference. I have a sophos firewall antivirus and it is not detecting anything either. I started using firefox private window but it will just open a new regular firefox window to display the add. I have installed adblock plus but it does not help. I installed Block Site to at least block the pages when they open up. As I am typing all this, a new window with a blocked add has opened up 4 times. I love firefox and would like to continue using it but I can not work like this and am switching to chrome until a resolution to this issue can be found. Please help!

From the 58th version to the most recent version (62.0.2) of Firefox, I can't load gmail properly. Either there is logout button missing, or, in the newer version of Gmail, almost all the button are missing. Please provide a solution.

FYI, I've cleared the cache, refreshed the firefox several times, reinstalled it, etc. etc. still the problem didn't solved.

I am on the latest Firefox (62.0.2) and macOS Mojave. Whenever I open the Firefox print or save menu, or any similar menu, and try to interact with a textbox, the entire browser becomes unresponsive and I have no choice but to force quit. I have used Firefox before but not very recently so I do not know if this is a recent issue or if it has always existed. I do not have any add-ons or themes installed. I tried Firefox 61and the issue still exists. I'm now thinking it could be an issue with my computer. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you.

In the attached image, there is a tag hidden behind this button. It's extremely annoying, because I often accidentally click it when trying to get the tag sitting behind it. Why FF would place this button in front of our tags is....well, stupid. Why hasn't it been fixed? I find it hard to believe I'm the very first person to complain about it. I mean, get rid of the frigging button if it's rendering a feature virtually useless. Clicking on the button doesn't help, because it only opens a pop-up where FF is asking me to download the app my phone (which I have no intention of doing). The reason I started using Pocket is because it allows me to categorize, or tag, pages when saving them. This issue only happens with Firefox, which seems to be more trouble than it's worth these days. I still haven't received an answer for the recent slowness I'm experiencing after the last Flash update, but that's another subject.

Does anyone know how I can get rid of this annoying button? If not, I'll have to begin the process of moving everything over to Chrome, as I like to keep everything in one place. I don't enjoy switching back and forth between browsers, and plan to continue using Pocket.

I restarted my computer several times to troubleshoot an issue I was having and after fixing the problem with my mouse I open Firefox to see that everything I had bookmarked, my history and all of my plugins are gone as if I was downloading Firefox for the first time. I had very important things saved that i need back. I see in my Profiles folder in app data there are two separate folders and I believe the one that is not currently set as default is the old profile I need to resurrect. How can I do this?

Hey,

I wanted to switch from Chrome to Firefox but one thing still stops me to do so. Everytime I try to watch a video on Youtube, Netflix or basically anywhere else Firefox starts to consume a lot of the CPU and the fans of my MacBook are starting to spin like crazy. This is happening with a fresh installation of Firefox as well so it should not be the problem of a plugin.

My MacBook Pro is from early 2015 has an 2,7 GHz Intel Core i5 and 8 GB of RAM. Currently I am running macOS Mojave but that was also a problem on Sierra and High Sierra.

This is definitely a problem of Firefox as both Chrome and Safari have no problems with displaying videos. I was thinking that this could be a problem with hardware acceleration but turning it off or on doesn't have any effect at all. Unfortunately I don't know a way how to check if Firefox is using hardware acceleration or not.

I would appreciate any help so I can switch as soon as possible.
