I have always had my Windows 10 computer to open to the BING homepage in Firefox. Now, I get a gray screen with nothing on it, except a search bar. I can load it in "private windows" and also on Microsoft Edge. Why has Firefox suddenly denied BING as my home page and has refused to let me get into it? It IS listed as my home page under TOOLS. I do NOT want to keep cleaning out the cookies all of the time, as I then have to re-log into everything else.

On my own computer, a Dell laptop running Windows 10, my Firefox 118 is customized to my satisfaction. In particular, in the upper right, from right to left, there are five icons: three lines for accessing a Firefox functions menu, a "puzzle piece" icon for accessing add-ons, a U-Block Origin icon for that ad blocker, a set of vertical lines that let me access some bookmarks and history settings, and a star that, when clicked, displays my whole bookmarks menu tree, showing a combination of individual URLs and URL folders that I saved there.

    Now I am trying to set up a new Dell laptop the same way. It's running Windows 11, and I cannot find a way to display that Firefox menu star. It's got the other star (the "save to favorites" star, farther to the left), but I cannot find a way to display that "show me my bookmarks" star. How do I get that icon to display?

I had to type all of this again. Why??? It just didn't send the question after... It said error I will copy and paste this somewhere as a backup... ARGH

I use Chrome on a daily basis. But I really hate the feature that it just automatically autocompletes/search suggestions whatever I want to search. But I tried everything, I tried changing the settings, tried asking the community but I violated the TOS (I insulted Googles CEO, but I won't insult anyone here : ). Every single setting I tried. YouTube videos are out of date... Answers on the Google community and they won't help.

Until I found this little genius. And I'm glad that I'm typing this again. FireFox is a little genius. It finally doesn't autocomplete/search suggest/force you to backspace whatever I want to search. Until I came back to what I was doing on this text based MMO RPG website.

It was okay with whatever I was doing. Until I went to that text based torn.com game. But until when I attacked a player. It lagged and slowed down, until the point that my temporary weapon effect just expired. It was also very slow and I was unsatisfied by it.

I also noticed that FireFox doesn't support Timeline on Google maps. I don't want to add how I emphasized on Google and Opera with a fake WW2 quote. So if you are a part working with Mozilla, an employee of Mozilla Foundation. Yes, take this as a feedback.

continue in /questions/1427133 thread.

I was trying to save a mail message into a Local Folder, and Firefox produced the following pop-up message:

Error - bsn on Local Folders There is not enough disk space to download new messages. Try deleting old mail, emptying the Trash folder, and compacting your mail folders, and then try again.

I assumed that my C-drive was full, so I deleted a large file. The same message appeared. Then,after I realized that I could save messages into other Local Folders, I looked in the Local Folders directory. I saw that there was a file bsn.msf, but the bsn file was missing. I am restoring it from a backup from nine days ago. The pop-up message is clearly wrong/misleading. I am running 118.0.1 on Windows 10 Professional 22H2 64-bit. I see that I need to upgrade to 118.0.2, which I will do as soon as I finish entering this bug report.

There used to be a solution via userChrome.css:

/* separate stop and reload buttons */

  1. reload-button, #stop-button {
 display: -moz-box !important;

}

The above workaround no longer provides separate stop and reload buttons on the browser in the latest version of firefox.

When Firefox closes by itself (crashes) or becomes unresponsive and I manually close it via Task Manager afterwards when I click on Firefox Desktop icon or Firefox taskbar icon Firefox opens but only at the Taskbar and not full Desktop screen.

See posted image.

The only fix is by deleting the Profile folder in Mozilla AppData hidden folder and replacing it with a restored copy from a System Backup file or a copy of a previous Mozilla Folder with Profiles Folder in it.

Once I replace the current Firefox Profile folder Firefox starts working normally again and starting full screen on my Windows Desktop.

This has been happening the last couple of Firefox versions and with the latest version installed.

Seems to be some sort of conflict with Windows 11 Pro or possibly a Windows security issue.

Thanks in advance

NOTE: I tried pressing Ctrl or Windows key + Arrow Keys to see if possibly it was hidden by Windows. Sometimes if I press Ctrl or Windows Key + and Arrow key the hidden app would show up. But this happens very rarely.

I cannot stream china open tennis via tennis tv - login problems, crashing problems. Unresponsive to login details Sometimes I can log in but then cannot open specific matches Other times the screen just goes blank There is an account login icon in lower left hand corner of the screen, but if I try to refresh the screen the icon changes its nature and does not respond, then I cannot log in or out It is random and unreliable when I am trying to stream the tennis I have never had this problem with this website before, and I have been a subscriber for 5 years The first two photos are how the login icon should look. The third shows what is happening to the login icon The fourth photo is the blank screen that I sometimes get and cannot move away from - the screen is stuck I really dont want to have to use Safari and definitely not Chrome Sherrill Carta shcarta@gmailcom

Using 118.0.1 (64-bit) under Linux Mint 21.2.

Apparent bug: Retrying failed "Web Page, Complete" case of "Save Page As..." does not retry downloading files.

  1. Observed behavior:

1. With the extension "DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials" enabled, typically if I do "Save Page As..." and choose "Web Page, Complete", then one or more files in the resulting "... Files" folder is missing compared to if the extension is disabled. This is probably as it should be. But...

2. In the downloads dropdown the download is shown as "failed". This is arguably as it should be, though the lack of information as to exactly which file download failed is unhelpful. Or arguably it is not as it should be, since from the point of the privacy extension user the download did not fail, it succeeded completely. But...

3. ***If I then click on the retry icon, it re-downloads *only the HTML*, not the files folder, and reports success.***

  1. Expected behavior:

If a "Save As..." "Web Page, Complete" fails, then retry should attempt to re-download all the files, or at least all the ones thought to have failed.

Due to a Windows 11 system restore, I had to reinstall Firefox. After signing in I found that all bookmarks, extensions and passwords have gone and the original 2020 profile they were attached to seems to be missing as well. I initially installed the Firefox app from the windows store and thought that might have been the problem, so uninstalled it and reinstalled from the mozilla website. That didn't heelp so I went through all the help articles I could find and I still can't figure out how to restore anything.

I have check Blocklisting. I can't found something relate to NVIDIA recent cards or driver. And I would like to ask if firefox at this time support hevc hardware decoding?

Pretty niche problem, but I couldn't find anyone else with the same kind of problem. Whenever I try to download a file with "%" on its filename, the "%" character gets changed to an underscore. Like say, if I try to download a file named "Skyrim 100% save file", it becomes "Skyrim 100_ save file". Not sure why this is even happening, but it only happens in Firefox. Not Chrome nor Edge.
