Hi, Hopefully someone can help. This started a couple of days ago. I'm actually trying to log in to my own account on Flickr. If I just input Flickr.com, the main front page loads, if I then go to log in, I get: "429 Too Many Requests You have sent too many requests in a given amount of time" on the screen. I've only hit enter once. As far as I can see this is the only site that does this BUT Youtube sometimes plays up, so maybe something is happening in the back ground with that. Might be totally unconnected.

I've tried using Opera (my main back up) and that loads my account just fine. I've tried turning off the extensions Adblock, No Script etc and the 429 error still pops up everytime I go to log in..

Any ideas? Anyone?

Am on win10 -- FF 118.0.2

A strange thing has just occurred in the past two days -- Firefox will no longer drag and drop URLs to form a shortcut on the desktop; I get only the international "can't do that" symbol, the circle with a slash, as I drag.

When I make a shortcut within firefox, then copy it and paste to the desktop, instead of the FF icon, I get the blank sheet, but when I look at the file with Notebook, it shows all the expected content:

Same deal with shortcuts that once did work; they are now inactive. However, when dragged onto FF or Chrome, they magically link up as they ought to.

I've googled for answers, but found nothing worthwhile. One suggestion was to shift the default browser to something else. I chose Google Chrome. Did no good. The shortcuts remained inactive. I could drag and drop from Chrome to the desktop but the shortcuts were still of a white sheet and inactive.

So, I'm suspecting something in Windows needs to be reset, but what? Can't find anything about where and how url shortcuts are treated in the registry. It's an annoyance. Any help greatly appreciated.

So Im currently trying to watch young sheldon on netflix, and im doing it through firefox, and it wont work, it says error code f7701-1003, thank you for your time.

I have not been able to sign in to my firefox account. I recently re-installed windows and tried to log in in firefox but its giving the error "The request was blocked for security reasons". How do i fix it? Help me i have important bookmarks and websites that i don't want to lose.

Am I understanding this correctly?

HTML backup (bookmarks) doesn't support tags and annotations, but JSON backup does, and JSON backup doesn't preserve the website favicons, but HTML backup does?  

So, what I can do, is restore my (saved) bookmarks using JSON backup, then restore the HTML backup, this would get my tags and annotations, and the website favicons back? But the downside, I will need to remove duplicates?

My potato pc(amd A8-7600, 8G ram, rx560 2G) is not capable of YouTube vp9 hardware acceleration, but I played 1080p 60fps videos without difficulty using add-ons that force h264 decoding, but the videos started stuttering a while ago. At first, I thought it was add-ons problem, but other than YouTube, too

firefox is missing my language (hebrew) in new the update and i can handle the browser being in english but i can't seem to be able to change the display of the app from left to right back to right to left

I have used Firefox for years and also use Kaspersky as my security along with Kaspersky's password manager. Recently, after a Firefox upgrade, while using Firefox to access websites using passwords it will not auto fill from Kaspersky. I have the extension installed. Kaspersky works on all other browsers.

When I click on Firefox, my email comes up. Now the whole screen is covered up with an ad for Microsoft 365, and there is no way to delete it. I have tried re-booting and spent an hour trying to find solutions, which either don't apply to my problem or the solutions appear so complicated I can't follow them. I am 76, and just want to be able to do the most basic use of my computer.

Get pop-up (or whatever you wish to call it) while browsing. No way of clearing it.

It does not show in Task Manager. Closed all the Google (first name) processes no change.

Went into firefox help then closed help tab and then original tab OK.

i posted a crash question yesterday and got an email asking me to post these the time is the same i assume because i hit "submit" at the same time for all of them i'm posting blind here because there was no link in the email back to my original post - maybe something else that should be fixed

three weeks ago the Babbel playback gave me all shortened responses. Like I would hear "respon" instead of response. I switched over to Microsoft Edge. After first bad response all subsequent responses were normal--fully sounded.

i have been using Tor.browser as my default web browser on Macbook for months. Firefox is my 2nd, but two days ago, i was kicked out of Tor, cannot download/use it anymore and the reasons given are as follows:

"Tor.browser quit unexpectedly. Click Reopen to open the application again. Click Report to see more detailed information." Ignore Report Reopen (options)

when i have deleted and tried to re-install tor browser, I get the notification that

"Tor Browser quit unexpectedly". No matter what I do

 (I have since done both, obviously & have tried many other things, including trying to Time Travel, which I am not 100% sure how to yet).  the Report states Firefox is responsible for blocking Tor.  how did this happen and suggestions on how to fix.  I have to access Tor to find some pertinent files etc. I have stored there.  thanks

Only withing my firefox browser search bar, and in the last updates for about 2 years; I can no longer, continuous spacing a word forward. Even right now on this page, I can continous space-forward a word within a sentence, while I'm writing. And this feature is important, when in your thought process. So is their a fix towards this problem; And what are the steps to permanently keep this from happening again ?

I can play movies on DVD and Blu Ray discs on my computer just fine. And, if I host an online meeting using Zoom or Free Conference Calls, participants in the meeting can watch the movie. I do this by playing the movie locally with a media player, and sharing my desktop. However, when I try to watch a movie in an online meeting, participants just see a black window. Do you know the reason?

I'm using Windows 10, Firefox 118.0.2.
