helloi i create posts trying desperately to get help but i have no idea where to navigate to them i cant seem them anywhere i find this site so confusing i am already so upset over something i am trying so desperately to understand how this works, all i want is help please somone please

I recently closed and re-opened Firefox to refresh it. Now, when I download an attachment from Gmail, a pop up appears next to my downloads icon. How do I turn that off?

That same link renders correctly in Chromium Web Browser (on Linux Mint 20.3)

By truncating the link to https://spectrum.ieee.org/ Firefox brings up that parent page O.K.

This behavior is not confined to this link in particular. It has behaved this way for some weeks (months?) now, in previous newsletters.

This is not an onerous situation but, if it could be fixed, it would be appreciated.

I use Firefox as my primary browser, and Comodo IceDragon as a back-up browser. For about the past week my Hotmail account, accessed through Outlook Live website, does not load it just brings up a white screen. I deleted all my temp files, and anything else I could think of that may be preventing it, but that did not work. In fact after doing this I have not been able to access my USAA account, it takes me to the log in screen and once I put in my user name it just keeps asking for the user name, it does not go any further. The pages are loading correctly with the Comodo IceDragon browser which I believe is very similar to Firefox.

I would very much like to get this issue resolved. I hope to get a response soon.

Maximizing and minimizing are still normal, but Firefox windows could not be dragged now.

Yes I did try in Safe mode and that worked until logging off and then restarting FireFox.

Since the most recent FireFox update Safe Mode no longer works.

I can still login to the site and perform some rudimentary tasks but when I want to edit/view a payment I get the error message as posted.

If I use my Tablet to login I have no problem although the Tablet uses Chrome and not Firefox.

I can try the tablet with FireFox and report back.

Is their a log file or setting list that I can send that will help.

Because of my work I have to use a specific car rental company but recently I am unable to log in to my account on their website via Firefox. Safari, which I prefer not to use, is no problem but if I try to log in using Firefox it gets stalled on the spinning wheel. I have an ad blocked but I had already turned it off for accessing that particular site, I think I just got a browser update, it just doesn't want to log in. Anyone have any ideas? I'm on a Macbook, OS 12.4. Firefox says it's up to date, version 102.0.1

Drag-drop bookmarking broken, Firefox 102.0 (64 bit)

I do not know which update began exhibiting this apparent reversion bug, as i have just returned home from several weeks in the hospital due to a heart attack, and do not know how many updates i missed.

When doing a drag-drop of a URL from either a link on a page OR the address line at the top of the browser, I will receive a "sanity failure" error, ranging from an empty NON-URL file, to an OS error complaining about being unable to access an attempted directory destination.

If the link I am dragging is bereft of illegal characters (i.e., ":" -- a colon), the action will succeed.

If there IS a colon, the text to the LEFT of the colon will become the filename. The colon and everything to its right will be truncated. And, the file will be a zero-byte file of unknown (to me) type.

Other illegal characters in the page's Title field will produce more dramatic misbehavior.

PLEASE revert to the previous behavior (i.e., filtering the Title before creating the filename for the bookmark file)!

Earlier versions of Firefox (again, I do not know when this began) NEVER exhibited this behavior.

In the last days I couldn't create shortcuts on SOME pages with drag and drop as I did usually. Today I formated the PC to start fresh, the problem remains!

The above are happening in SOME pages, not in all shortcuts. When I try to create the shortcuts on Opera they are created just fine. Perhaps that has to do with a bug in some update (windows or firfox)

I have been using Firefox for years and have always used Gmail as my default email account. Suddenly I can no longer open a mailto link - just on one of my several PCs. I go to settings and there is no option for Gmail or anything else. I tried copying the link from one of my other computers but there is nowhere to Paste that. Weird...

I am getting an error that Firefox is not supported on some websites. Is there an add-on or extension that can make the site think I am using internet explorer or edge?

I am not too good with the computer and have just starting using Firefox. I will do my best to describe my question so please bar with me. I have 2 rows of websites that I frequent...actually only using the first row and 5 spaces in the second row. When I go to a different website Firefox is automatically adding that website to one of the boxes in the second row which I do not want. How do I stop this? Question 2...using Ebay as an example...if I keep searching on Ebay and have looked at lets say 5 different pages how do I go back to the home screen without having to hit the back button 6 times? A few days ago, I tried to have one window for private mode and one for public. For Private mode, I used settings for custom history and Always use Private browsing Mode. Somehow, it didn't work. I'm old and forget a lot of what I did. I reinstalled FF a few times, to no avail. So did uninstall and told them why, and that I planned to be back in a few days. Also, I uninstalled the Maintenance program first. I went to EDGE, but really hate it, so I downloaded FF now. Set for Private browsing. But it doesn't work. Keep getting public browsing. Even if I select it on taskbar icon, no luck. Don't see the purple glasses or whatever they were. I really like to use private mode.

I can sure use some advice.

As the title says, ctrl+tab simply doesn't do anything anymore for me. All the other hotkeys (ctrl+t, ctrl+1, etc.) are working normally. I haven't changed any settings or installed any extensions lately. It still doesn't work if I restart into Troubleshoot mode.

I really can't figure out what happened.

Hi, I hope someone can help me. I am an author and sell my book through KDP Amazon. Firefox is my default browser but will not let me log in to KDP. No problem with other websites including Amazon.com When I open the KDP log in page it accepts my email address but the password button has a row of asterix right across the window. I cannot delete whatever is in there or change the password via the forgotten password route. Thus to sign in to KDP I have to use an alternate browser. With both Opera and Chrome I can sign in with no problems. I have added a screenshot of the KDP log in which illustrates the problem. Grateful for any solution to this irritation. Thanks, Paul

Hello - there are add-ons for Amazon, Google, Facebook, EBay and Twitter - none of which I added - showing up on the Firefox browser as running during browser start. I can see them when I use CC Cleaner. They are browser plugins set to run upon start up. I can disable them but need to do it every time, as there is no way to delete them that I can see. I would like to find out why these plugins are there and how I can delete them.

You can't disable firefox spell checking. Check your spelling as you type. Misconfiguration? Did you make a mistake somewhere? I'm not sure. I mainly use two types of IME, Microsoft IME and google Japanese input.

I have edited my Settings so that I do not receive emails for any Watchings, but it has been 3 days I think, and I am still receiving forum threads. I just now removed the DownThemAll Watchings thinking this is what I needed to do until I am ready to get back into the issue. How do I stop receiving forum threads unrelated to DownThemAll? Attached are snippets to show you what I have done.
