Dear Sir or Madam,

Is it possible to get a version of Firefox ESR beyond 115.15? If so, would you be so kind to share the URL to download the installation?

We still have a few Windows Server 2012 boxes that are using Firefox 115.15, except Tenable is reporting the version as with vulnerabilities.

Thank you!

Last February, I installed an update that wasn't compatible with my macOS 10.13.6 High Sierra. As a result, my bookmarks disappeared. For a long time, I've been getting popups on a daily basis, and sometimes twice daily, telling me to update again. Based on my last experience, I not about to install any more updates. I want these messages to stop.

I repeatedly cannot access a couple of websites, receiving messages such as, "Server Not Found" and "We can’t connect to the server at companyname.org." Since this happens regularly with a couple of popular websites (e.g., Consumer Reports), I don't believe the problem is with the sites themselves. So, is there a setting on Firefox that will enable me to unblock access to specific sites?

Thanks!

I want you to be aware a Northern Calif. Utility, PGE, has rebuilt their website so FireFox cannot be used. I do not know if this is legal. I can no longer pay my bill using their website, and by phone, I am charged a fee. I don't know if this is legal, but you should not want this happening to the only safe browser.

The bookmarks sidebar disappearing is creating inconvenience and I´m always having to use CNTL-B to recover it, even after I have selected View/Sidebar/Bookmarks which has a tick. Each time I change sites it deletes the tick.

I checked the about:config toobars and I cannot find it, or am I in the wrong place ?

Seems like the newest Firefox update (131.0) changed the way my Home Page (on the new tab) looks. WHY??

Now there's a giant logo taking up a fifth of the vertical space, forcing me to scroll to see my shortcut icons. WHY????

Oh, and the shortcut icons are now spaced farther apart and are significantly smaller. WHY????????

I set browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.logowordmark.alwaysVisible to false but the logo is still present.

Please revert these changes. Or, if someone could provide me with some tips on how to edit the userchrome.css or whatever, that would be great.

Protections against Tracking via HTTP/3 QUIC - Privacy

Hello Mozilla Community,

I hope I am right with you guys to ask this question though it is a rather technical question. Please let me clarify that I am not a programmer myself or a network engineer but rather a hobbyist who is especially interested in privacy.

As I was reading about HTTP/3 and QUIC, I came across an academic paper called ""A QUIC Look at Web Tracking".

According to this paper QUIC gives web servers and third parties a good way to track users via the "source-address token" and the "server config" which are both stored on the client('s browser/machine). Now I know that this paper is from 2019 and concerns an older version of QUIC. However, in RFC 9000 "source address tokens" aka "address validation tokens" still exist and are especially used to establish future connections with 0-RTT instead of 1-RTT (see section 8.1 of RFC 9000). Though "server config" is not mentioned in RFC 9000, "transport parameters" is mentioned in section 7.4 and 18 of RFC 9000, which are also used for 0-RTT and are also stored on the client.

Neither RFC 9000 nor RFC 9114, which concerns HTTP3, address these privacy risks in more detail. Both seem to take only MITM attackers into account (see 9.5 in RFC 9000 and 10.11 in RC 9114) [as is done in a newer paper from 2022 Evaluating QUIC for Privacy Improvements Over Its Predecessors which however at least addresses the possibility of third party tracking under 5.1 3)].

I would also like to point towards RFC 9250 of May 2022, which concerns DNS over QUIC ("DoQ"). In Section 7 of RFC 9250 many privacy concerns regarding "0-RTT", "Session Resumption (Token)", "Address Validation Token" and "Long Duration Sessions due to QUIC's connection migration feature" are elaborated in more detail.

To sum up my understanding: - Using HTTP/3 or QUIC's "connection ID" for tracking should not be that viable, even if its function is to migrate connections in case of Layer-3/4 (IP address or Port) changes, because a connections life time is at least in firefox limited to 30 seconds (see Github neqo) so that a user should not be trackable for a longer period via the "connection ID". - However, longer tracking may be possible via "Session Resumption Tokens" and "Address Validation Tokens" (see Section 7.2 and 7.3 of RFC 9250; though I myself don't know the difference between these two) as well as via "transport parameters" (see "A QUIC Look at Web Tracking").

As mentioned in "A QUIC Look at Web Tracking", though a restart of the Browser seems to clear the cached state of prior QUIC connections (to my understanding the stored "tokens" and "transport parameters"), tracking via the above mentioned features of QUIC seems not unreasonable as many users today will not restart their browser, especially on mobile devices but also on desktops (3.7 and 5.1.2 of the paper).

As I was not able to find further information on this topic, I would be very happy to get some assurance that firefox is effectively preventing or at least impeding the tracking possibilities mentioned in RFC 9250 and the paper "A QUIC Look at Web Tracking".

Thank you very much for any reply or pointing me into the right direction (other sources on this topic or a more appropriate page to ask this question).

I have tested this with Chrome, Firefox (latest update 131.0.2). Firefox stopped showing select-able buttons a few weeks ago, while Chrome and the iPhone app on IOS 18.0.1 on my Phone display the items correctly.

CORRECT DISPLAY - See attached "Correct Display" JPG. INCORRECT DISPLAY - See attached "Incorrect Display" JPG

When I edit the original iCoud NOTE, and remove the selection buttons, then re-add them, I can see that Firefox FIRST picks up the correct radio buttons then VERY quickly changes them to black boxes which can neither be selected nor un-selected.  :-(

I would like to be able to see all my tabs at once without scrolling. I'm coming from Chrome, and my habits and preferences is built on the fact that this is standard behavior. I run many tabs at once, up to 100 tabs isn't uncommon, and having to scroll is slower than just being able to click the tab I want.

Anyone have any ideas?

PS: I have tried decreasing tabMinWidth, but upper limit of max tabs is still only 30

Firefox drops my connection. All of a sudden, it is working fine, then it becomes unresponsive. It is no longer connected to the WiFi. But the WiFi is up and running fine. The only thing that brings it back is to close down the browser, and restart it. Then it comes up connected. Or I can switch to Edge and that works fine. It is not my computer or connection, it is the Firefox browser doing this.

Second problem. More and more of the sites I visit, like Hulu, my doctors, and many others will not work on Firefox. Isn't there something you can do about this. It requires me to use the address I am on and paste it into Edge. Then it works fine. If this continues to grow, I will have to make my default browser Edge. Please see what you can do. No doubt this puts a smile on the Microsoft engineers faces.

Since the recent update to Firefox 131, I can no longer use the Billpay option of my TD Bank account. I am able to log into my account without any problems and use all of the options except for Billpay. I want to add that I know I am not alone with this problem as I have seen several others with the same problem but with different banks. It is the Billpay option which no longer works.

As I said, the bank site is fine until I click on "Billpay", Then I get this: begin quote: "Why can't I access Bill Pay?
