If you use Full Screen a lot you'll notice that when your mouse cursor is near the top of the screen it often activates the appearance of the Address and Menu bars and whatever other toolbars you have working. The whole screen suddenly jolts down. Then up as soon as the cursor moves down. I cannot imagine the mindset of the designer that implemented it; must have been someone poor on the keyboard that uses the mouse as much as possible. Alt+D activates the toolbar! We don't need any mouse cursor to display it. Especially as we need to type anyway to use the Address Bar. I searched Add-Ons but couldn't find anything. Any ideas of how to stop the cursor from activating the toolbars? Anything in about:config maybe? Anything I can edit in the files? Please! Let's get some sanity back to Firefox Full Screen.

I have the option 'Show editor when saving' checked, so I'm getting the bookmark editor popup window when I want to save a bookmark .

However, more often than not, a bookmark is being saved without me clicking the Save button .

My understanding is that it's a feature of sorts, but it's driving me bonkers, and I just can't remember what I need to do to not save a bookmark - hit esc. , click the star button again, use the keyboard shortcut, or whatever it is . Nor do I care to be frank, I really just want Firefox to not save a bookmark without confirmation , which I thought would be the main point of having the optional editor window .

Is there any way to disable autosave for bookmarks completely ? Sorry about the rant, it's just so unintuitive and annoying, and I'm tired of cleaning out my bookmark folders all the time ...

After upgrading to Firefox version 103.0 on Windows 10 I am no longer able to Login to https://auth.synchronybank.com/account/login . After entering my User ID and Password I stay on the Login screen with the gear spinning for several minutes then receive the error screen shown in the attached image. Clicking on Try Again" on the error screen produces the same error. Please correct ASAP.

Note that the Login from https://auth.synchronybank.com/account/login completes successfully using the Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browsers.

I have followed the fixes. It will work after I "Refresh Firefox" but goes back to not working again. Should I reinstall Firefox? How do I add this site to the exceptions? Thank you

We can’t connect to the server at www.cdc.gov.

If that address is correct, here are three other things you can try:

   Try again later.
   Check your network connection.
   If you are connected but behind a firewall, check that Firefox has permission to access the Web.

Hi, My browser started slowing down so I did the reset as suggested. Unfortunately, this changed the login settings and now when I go to my Gmail, Minds, mewe or other accounts is auto signs me in. I have gone into to settings and unchecked the auto fill and Ask to save logins and passwords for websites. That did nothing. I do not want any pages to auto login but I would like to be able to select a user name an password when I go to enter a webpage that requires one. Having the Auto login is a hug security issue for me. Can you please help.

Every time I launch Firefox a message appears on the top right corner asking to update with the following text: "Update available Download the latest version of Firefox"

I have never followed this message for I've suspected fake, but it keeps appearing, and every time more and more often along the day (at the beginning it was only once per launch). This keeps occurring in spite of updating to the latest Firefox update (103.0.2) through the "About Firefox" top left menu on my Mac.

Please advise how to get rid of this annoying message. Is this a potential hack or virus attack?

MacBook Pro 15", Late 2013 on Mac Os 10.15.7 "Catalina"

1. i have firefox on my pc, now i installed it on my laptop 2. synced to my account on laptop 3. the internet went out halfway through the syncing process (only 3 addons or so installed and then it got stuck) so i closed my laptop and forgot about it 4. i opened firefox on my PC and the account synced 5. the addon bar flashed and all the addons except for 3 are now deleted (they are NOT disabled, they are completely gone from the addons page)

I don't remember the name of every addon i had installed but I need them back.

In Settings, I have configured "When using the address bar, suggest..." to use my Bookmarks, and nothing else.

Let's say I have a bookmark for the URL: https://www.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/products/

If I start typing "moz", that bookmark appears in the suggestions, but the autocomplete also offers me the domain's "home" URL, https://www.mozilla.org.

I don't have that "home" URL bookmarked, so I don't want it to be suggested to me - as I told Firefox when I set "Bookmarks" as the only source of suggestions. Often when trying to navigate quickly to a bookmarked page, I assume that autocomplete will be giving me my bookmarked page, and end up accidentally going to the "home URL" instead.

So is there a setting that lets me keep my bookmark suggestions, but disable this "autocomplete with home URL" behaviour?

This isn't specific to mozilla.org: that URL was just an example.

Hi, I am trying to understand why my exceptions (blocked web sites) keep deleting and or when I delete cookies the exception are also removed? I apply several web sites to be always blocked, but every time I go back to add another or check. They have been removed. Also if I tick the delete cookies when closed. That also deletes the exceptions. Why would it do this?

Why on earth would I continue to re-enter the same several exceptions every time I open Firefox?

Am I missing something else in the settings? And yes I always click on save changes.

I've been using multi-account containers for a long time. I've always used 'ctrl + shift + # of container' to open new tabs in a specific container. Recently, that feature has stopped working - but only for some containers? I can still open containers 1 and 2 using that shortcut, but my other containers just don't respond.

I've tried deleting the unresponsive containers and creating new ones, but that doesn't fix the problem. They work great otherwise - I can still open them with my mouse. Is there a fix for this?

How to unblock email addresses (as senders) that I had blocked before? Is there a blocked listing' email addresses that I had blocked before but now I want to unblock. Its the opposite effect of.blocking of senders / email addresses. Thank you.

Hello, for my study I'm searching a lot of information on different websites for different school subjects and have currently accumulated over 1000 tabs open/active in my Firefox (web) on my laptop. I usually open websites and don't close them with the assumption and just to be on the safe side I might need them later. However, I would like to group/bundle these tabs into different categories according to the subjects I'm working to keep it manageable. Is this possible (preferably not by means of an add-on)?

I am not a geek and I follow all the details of 'how to etc etc' but nothing works and the phone goes into random loops and keeps telling my I cannot sync (I KNOW that). Firefox has no phone number or email system for technical support (or any type of support) just this hit and miss system of 'forums' (or is that fora). I tried to send a bug report but I am NOT signing up for another (geek speak) account just to send you the problem. Please fix this issue - it never used to happen on older versions - how can I roll back my firefox to something that works properly?? Everytime I try to do a search in Firefox I get a Manuals Library page come up. Why is it doing this? I did a search not long ago for a user's manual for a product, and I guess I accidentally downloaded this Manuals Library. Now I have no idea how to get rid of it. There is no shortcut on my desktop for it, I cannot find it anywhere in my downloaded programs in Uninstall or Change a Program in my Control Box. I DO NOT want this program! Help please!! I don;t know if I chose the right "best describes the question" because the first half of the option is off the screen to the left, and there's no way to scroll over. I would like to go back to the version that preceded this latest update please. It worked well. Please reply by email, [email-removed], because I can't read most of what's on the screen here. I hope someone pays attention to this, because otherwise I'll have to abandon Firefox, and it's been by far my preferred browser. Can't think what you've done to it. Your updates in the past all worked fine. I'm on a Lenovo ThinkPad S145 with Windows10.

Home built. PC Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS

Since we have update our OS from Ubuntu 20.04 LTS to Ubuntu 22.04 LTS (a few days ago) Firefox has only shown a Blank screen at first start up, only the very top line is visible showing "Activities" then "Firefox Web Browser". Nothing will work, the only thing that does is Quit.

Restarting Firefox the second time seems to work Okay.

Please can you advise me?
