Hi everyone,
After the 85.0.0 update and still now with 85.0.1 and 85.0.2 firefox crashes. It's usually happened with clicking a link that'll take action outside of firefox (not a url link but a download attachment link in gmail or a print link). I've also had it happen with placing links from the search bar to the bookmark bar, and just recently opening up the 'show all bookmarks' window.
It'll hang, i won't be able to click anything, and then it'll give me the 'close window' screen. It's never fully crashed and given me an error message. I start up firefox again, restore the session and everything is back to where it was.
I've tried refreshing. I've tried creating a new profile. I've tried uninstalling and downloading 85 direct from mozilla. Nothing seems to be working. I'm going to see how it does for a bit in safe mode, but all the add-ons I have I've had way before the 85 update and all of them are recommended by mozilla.
I'm all ears (eyes?) for solutions!

Today, and before, about a year ago, I suddenly got a Firefox screen show up identifying itself as an annual survey. Confetti pouring down the screen.... The incentive was a *chance* to get a prize. So I proceeded cautiously and answered a few questions that seemed legit. Then, I won a prize... A Samsung Galaxy said to be valued at $1100 for $1. I was not on a page at https://easemastereight-15.life/.... Even more cautiously and suspicious moved forward using the click here, and it redirected to a different site, where of course they wanted a credit card to pay for the $1. At this point I bailed, especially because I was offered the same deal a year ago. What I want to do now is to alert Mozilla about this, and after a lot of searching, this form was the only way I could find. If anyone knows how to route this to the people who should investigate this, please do it. Meanwhile we should all remember that if it looks too good to be true, it almost certainly is.

Does Firefox 85 contain any breaking changes regarding the WebRTC implementation or are there known issues with WebRTC video connections in this version? I am experiencing problems with a web application that uses WebRTC in combination with a Windows UWP app (client implementation for Microsoft HoloLens). With Firefox Version 84 the solution worked without problems. Starting with Firefox 85 the WebRTC connection can still be established, but the video connection breaks after 15-20 seconds.

I use Firefox regularly with Google Meet and it worked fine but recently (a few weeks ago) it started hanging when I try to share my screen in a Google Meet session and, when I try to return to the session, Firefox simply crashes, freezes and gets irresponsive.
I am not sure, but I guess it started happening after last Firefox update.
I ran about:crashes and the crash seems not to be stored (my last crash happened in Feb/19/2021:

I recently bought a new mac mini. it is running os 11.12.1 and is the new mac M1 chip. I downloaded the latest version of firefox, 85.0.2 It seems to work great..... but after a few days i have noticed that when i first wake up the computer in the morning AND after i wake it up after it's gone to sleep during the day the browser doesn't work correctly. Trackpad won't scroll. Typing won't type. Clicking on a tab dosen't open the tab..... UNTIL i click on another window of the browser, then when i go back to the first window it has opened the tab i clicked on. Very odd. If i quit firefox and open it again it works. But this is not ideal.
Anyone else experiencing this? Anyone have a solution??
Thanks, Miranda

Windows did an update and closed my Firefox session. When it came back up, I did not look at it, and it did not restore my previous session. Windows did another update and now when I try to restore the previous session, it just takes me back to a single tab.
How can I restore my previous session? I need those windows desperately!

Hello,
Is there any way of customising the menus (such as context/right-click menus)so that they do not display any kind of icons?
For example the burger menu has icons for "Print" and other items.
This is inconsistent with my desktop environment (GNOME) and all of my other desktop apps (which follow the default GTK settings that disable such icons)
Another minor thing is underlining certain characters in those menus (for keyboard shortcuts, I think), for some of the items. This is another inconsistency which is also disabled system-wide by default in GNOME.
Is there some way of disabling these? Maybe an about:settings config that I didn't find yet?

I'm not looking for direct assistance, this is feedback. The feedback submission from within the browser is disabled by Mozilla.
When I have FF (85.0.2 x64, Win10) set to use a toolbar density of "Touch", this works for the toolbars themselves, but not the Bookmarks menu. See the attached screenshot. You can see that the toolbar elements are nicely spaced to make it easier for fingers and finger-simulating stilii, but the bookmarks menu is still densely packed.
The feedback is to have the toolbar spacing apply to the bookmarks menu too.

Hi, I have a big problem when using google docs in Firefox. Thai language doesn't have a space between word and when I'm using it in google docs it will strangely cut newlines cut the the word to new line as the first image. Different from Firefox, MS Edge or chrome cut the word correctly and appropriately. It happen with firefox for a long time. I think this is the things that made many Thai doesn't use firefox. please fix.
Thanks

I had to reset my windows 10 computer and now when I downloaded FireFox I et nothin but a blank page when I open it ? It doesn't matter what website I try it's just a blank page ! I have tried refreshing it and it will not restart but when I click on it to restart it saying that it's already running. Sure enough I open task manager and it's running. If I stop it there it just does the same when restarted. Like ground hog day !

For controlling the behavior when openning an external link (from a different program) there is `browser.link.open_newwindow.override.external`. It can be configured to always open a new window, or always open a new tab in the last active window.
However, I use multiple virtual desktops on linux and when I open a link (from anywhere, really), I'd like it to be opened on the current virtual desktop but also in an existing window if there is one. It should almost be as if the firefox on each virtual desktop behaves independently for this purpose though I don't think actually doing that (one firefox instance per virtual desktop) would be a solution since I do need to move tabs/windows around fairly often as well.
Is there a way to do that with some settings?

I am on FF 78.7.1esr on windows 10 and since a few weeks the fonts on some websites look bad as shown in the uploaded images. Even the text box where I am typing in this question right now does not show a clear font. I have not installed any new FF extension recently but there have been windows updates.
I did find some rather old information about blurry fonts related to shockwave flash content and I disabled the option to "Block dangerous and intrusive Flash content" but this did not really solve the issue. (I still need flash for learning content so I did not uninstall it but created a mms.cfg file as recommended by adobe).
Have there been recent changes to FF font rendering? I did not see the problem before January 2021.

Hi!
I am on macOS Catalina and am trying to change the copy-paste combination on my keyboard from Command+C and Command+V to Control+C and Control+V, respectively.
Under Settings > Keyboard > Shortcuts > App Shortcuts, I already have a copy-paste setting for 'All Applications', and it works on ALL applications I tested with (Google Chrome, Safari, Telegram, terminal emulators, etc.), EXCEPT on Firefox.
So then I tried to add a custom setting for Firefox.app. Copy works: I can CTRL+C in a firefox page and CTRL+V on another app. BUT CTRL+V does not work in Firefox itself -- the previous shortcut Command+V is what still works.
What should I do so that:
My Firefox version is 85.0.2
Thanks in advance.

Edit, additional info:
I followed the list of valid command names at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/keyboard-shortcuts-perform-firefox-tasks-quickly?redirectslug=Keyboard+shortcuts&redirectlocale=en-US#w_bookmarks. Adding some of them to 'App Shortcut' works (such as New Tab, Close Tab, and Bookmark This Page), and some of them don't (such as Find in This Page and Find in This Page).
