I am logging in to my browser as normal, but am still getting the notification "You must log in to this network before you can access the Internet". This is cutting me off from regular internet access as if I was not logged in.

Like the title says. I've removed this (see img) page from history and tried hitting SHIFT + DEL with the suggestion highlighted, but it just persists. How can I get rid of it?

I can't tell if I've got a browser hijacker. I'm on an android phone on Firefox and using duckduckgo. I have avast antivirus, but the free version. And in the last 24 hours, sometimes when I type inquiries, usually if its a string of letters and numbers, it will redirect me to a website unrelated to my search. For instance, typing in mig23(looking up fighter jet), it won't do searches and instead will take me to some UK boat website. "OICE", a typo, takes me to a NASA OIIR website. It appears to be close to whatever I typed in, but also doesn't happen every single time. This doesn't happen on my other devices, but it also doesn't happen when I use google in Firefox. However, it is possible that this happened on my laptop but I do not have access to it right now.

I am always in fear of viruses and I desperately want this to be a computer glitch. I cleared the DNS cache, I deleted some files and apps and rebooted and its still happening! I don't know what file could've done it.

I have Firefox installed on three Windows Desktop Computers. On one, I just cannot delete Bookmarks, no matter what suggestions I try. Verify Integrity of the database produced no results. I do not, for a variety of reasons, sync bookmarks (or anything else) between the three installations. Experienced user that has spent far too long on what should be a simple issue.

After a re-start, my Firefox browser on a Dell laptop lost all history and has since also not been collecting websites visited. When opening a new tab, the shortcuts and recently visited websites are also gone and no longer being collected. My CCleaner recently updated itself to a new version but I unchecked the delete history for Firefox (which treacherously is clicked by default - I fell into that trap before). Happy to blame the new CCleaner but that would not explain why history is not being collected now - to me the fault seems to lie with Firefox instead. Another possibility that went through my mind: Is Microsoft sabotaging users of Windows 11 to force them to buy new? PS: Under "Privacy", "History", the setting is "Firefox will remember history", as it always has been and should be. But it has forgotten all previous history and it is no longer collecting any new history either!

Since v.145, comments have been blocked on some forums for me. https://thetyee.ca is one I use regularly, and the comments are blocked. (This is a Coral Comment site.) The spinning wheel just spins (see image 2 below) and sometimes resolves as "blocked" (see image 1 below).

On rare occasions if I delete all cookies, restart the PC and the browser in a private window only, I can sometimes get comments to come up with a "login page" that successfully lets me login, and keeps the link open for a few pages for that session only, but when I open a new session, comments are blocked again. They just don't appear. when I am successful, it looks like image 3 below.

I never adjust settings, and only occasionally delete cookies, so I've looked into other help articles in the forum that have pointed out enhanced tracker protection might be a problem: I have whitelisted all the sites I use for ETP but only one or two now sometimes work properly (using disqus) while the others do not. Tyee support is unable to help - they say very few have made any complaints.

There are other sites that limit my access or functionality now because they say "You have an ad blocker installed". I don't have an adblocker installed. I've never installed an adblocker. But that's secondary. Perhaps if we get this issue solved (due to a setting?), that second issue will go away too. Or maybe not.

I see it's simply not possible to get rid of ETP. Do I have to get rid of Firefox?

I hope I'm able to describe my frustrating situation.

It has to do with online buying via Internet combined with a transaction confirmation over my Banking app. The problem occurs when I try to book or buy anything with the use of my banking Visa card. After I filled every field necessary and proceed the transaction, the process "secure by Visa" starts, where I have to commit, that I am the proper owner of the card. Concrete: I receive a message from my banking app where I have to confirm the transaction. After I confirmed it and the return to Firefox, the page reloads and everything I did before is gone... means: no buy, no booking was made... This can be repeated until the end of days without any success. The bank is not able to help me. According to them, everything work fine with any client.

One question for the start of the discussion... why is the page loading, why the page doesn't stay "stable" until I return from the banking app?

I have recently switched computers, and since it has been a while, I can't remember the setting on the 'about:config' page that I need to change to where when I open a new browser tab, it opens at the end of my list of tabs, rather than as the next tab. Thanks!

On a new computer, I entered a new Mozilla password, and Mozilla on new computer won't sync with my old bookmarks, which still are on old computer.

Sync doesn't add these bookmarks.

Both computers now sign in with new PW. I can't go back to old PW (doesn't have current standards).

How to get sync to work, and get my bookmarks on new computer?

how can a firefox145 (on Win11) update be rolled back?

it seems update 145.0.2 has killed all audio in firefox. Other browsers and programs have functioning audio. But nothing restores audio in FireFox after the update. I have closed and re-started FF - even hot and cold reboots of the machine. It is clearly a FF issue. The only solution appears to be a roll back, unless there is a preferences line that might have been shifted.

I recently switched from Safari to Firefox on my IPhone. When I realized that they don’t integrate I deleted the RoboForm app. and reinstalled it on my IPhone. Unfortunately they still don’t integrate and RoboForm will not fill in forms and passwords. Contacted RoboForm and they told me that they are investigating but I think that they don’t have an answer. In the meantime I have to copy/paste my logins. Somewhere I read that I should have the RoboForm icon on the top right corner of my screen- never happened. Anybody else goes through similar issues? Does anyone have suggestions(other than switch browser/password manager)? Thanks, Alberto

I HAVE THE FIX - Create a new PROFIE and import from HTML or restore again.

To create a new "PROFILE", click on the PROFILES menu and click NEW PROFILE, type in your FIRST NAME click on a color of your choice and click the DONE EDITING button. Now, IMPORT FROM HTML or RESTORE your bookmarks from the file you created.

If Firefox doesn't have a PROFILES menu choice (no problem), just type ABOUT:PROFILES into the address bar (where you would normally type a website address) and press the ENTER key on your keyboard.

If you need to type ABOUT:PROFILES (don't forget to type the COLON between ABOUT and PROFILES)

When the profiles window appears, click the CREATE A NEW PROFILE button, the CREATE PROFILE WIZARD will appear, (read the message and click the NEXT button, type in your FIRST NAME and click the FINISH button.

The new profile has been created. Close out of Firefox (multiple copies may be open). Close all of them, then restart Firefox and IMPORT FROM HTML or RESTORE your bookmarks.

Backup and Restore work best.

uwithout any warning several updates for firefox were handled and step by step the design was changing with the result, that I got a lot of problems with this browser. I reached with my windows 10 a longer use until oktober next year. Now i must see, that even firefox does no longer support Windows 10. How can you assist for longer time without loosing all the installations on it or you can offer suitable solutions.

Hi. When I click on the arrow to go back to previous page, nothing happens. This occurs on any website I am connected to. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Alan
