My update preference for Firefox is to download but I will install it. But it consistenly (over the last numerous updates) changes it to Automatic. I do not want Automatic updates. I want to control when it updates. I do not see this issue addressed anywhere. I have checked numerous times. Please help! My sincere thank you for your time and attention to my request for help. I have been playing a game on facebook for years. 4 days ago It stopped working. Other players are saying that they had to switch browsers ( to Chrome and others) and they are able to play the games. Why can I not play on Firefox?

I lost my user id for this account from last week, I am trying find the user account, but i couldn't find. It is like almost (mohamed.ansar@mybonyan.com) but its saying this is a wrong user id for https://app.zipbooks.com/login It is already in my bookmarks a long ago. suddenly got sin gout. Now i could not login and saying this is wrong user id, Please help me find the user account name and password, i already login saved in mozila. it is really appreciate if you can help me.

I had to reinstall windows 10, and then Firefox on my computer, after logging into Firefox on this fresh install (had to reset password), my saved passwords and bookmarks are not there. They still exist on my phone, and my phone is now asking for the new password to start syncing again. If I log in on my phone, will it sync the passwords there to my computer? I am worried syncing will cause the ones on my phone to disappear. Is there any way to export my passwords/bookmarks on the phone(android) to file? As a backup just in case. I logged in on an old computer thinking it would sync, even if it was out of date, but now it also shows 0 passwords saved.

Whenever I try to play videos on Firefox, the elements don't load right and no video will begin. On Youtube, this is usually either a blank page with no video element, or I get an error stating that the video can't be played. On Twitch, I get the streamer's default 'not streaming' message, even if they are live, and VODs don't work. I have several extensions to protect privacy and block ads, but even if they are all turned off I still have this problem. I've also tried turning my VPN off and on, and setting it to various different locations. Nothing works. I can watch videos on another browser without issue. Hi. I keep several Firefox tabs open and active on my laptop. Inevitably, Firefox slows down after a week or several weeks and would benefit from a Quit / Restart. But then (I think) I would lose my tabs, which would mean a trip to the library to login and get them back. If I do nothing, a superslow Firefox will usually mean my laptop eventually restarts on its own. Then when I open Firefox I see a "Restore Session" option, which brings everything back (I think I see Restore Session because the computer did its own shutdown). So, this does work, but I have a slow computer until the laptop does its own restart. I am wondering if I can initiate my own Firefox Quit / Restart which will give me the "Restore Session" option. hi I am curious if there is a way to disable (remove) time bar (video progress bar) from appearing in picture in picture mode in Firefox Browser 123.0 (64-bit) version. Namely, I prefer to watch videos of sport events and knowing exact time of video duration could be a big spoiler. A version of picture in picture more without time bar existed in previous Firefox Browser versions 102.0.1

It's so bad that I might have to stop using it entirely.

I've tried creating new profiles, disabling all add-ons, and disabling Enhanced Tracking Protection; none helped.

As you can see in the video (about the 00:16 mark) it randomly stops properly loading pages from the website, even in new tabs. The only temporary remedy is to either close and re-open FF, or press Ctrl+F5 (which I did at the end of the video).

I must add that it can happen even when loading the website for the first time in the session.

After these latest updates, EVERY, Firefox browser (derivatives included, i.e. LibreWolf, etc...) are opening VERY slowly. Its almost like the browser is freezing while opening for around 10 - 20 sec, then opening. It used to open within a second or two. If I uninstall the updates the problem goes away, BUT, windows re-installs them automatically. After it is up and running its ok. The problem seems to be on startup only.

For years had bookmarks in folders showing on Bookmark Toolbar. Today they are all gone. Still in my Bookmarks on the drop down Menu, but not appearing on the Toolbar. Please help. Can't seem to drop and drag them there. Also, the Bookmarks Toolbar keeps disappearing every time I go to look at a new tab.

Back in November 2023 I had the misfortune of a software engineer not doing his job correctly and he reinstalled the OS on my laptop instead of repairing some software that wasn't functioning correctly. Mercifully, I have had Microsoft support working on recovering my data, which has proved a tremendous task. 4 months and counting.

We have now finally managed to recover my passwords for my browsers, but they are encrypted. Microsoft Support have therefore asked if Mozilla do a decryption tool as they cannot open the file without it being decrypted first. If I was using Microsoft Edge, they would have been able to assist as that is a Microsoft product, but as Firefox is a third party application, they've asked for assistance. By the way, these are NOT scammers or hackers 'helping' me, but Microsoft support and I get everything emailed about our support etc.

I'm getting the error message "No video with supported format and MIME type found" with mp3 files at https://www.gatherthepeople.org/test/styled-7/page-3/ when using Firefox 123.0 on my M1 (ARM) iMac running OS 14.3.1; when using Firefox 123.0 on my M1 (ARM) MacBook Air running OS 14.3.1; when using Firefox 123.0 on Win 11;and when using Firefox 115.8 on my Intel MacBook Pro running OS 10.14.6.

The same mp3 files (https://www.gatherthepeople.org/test/styled-7/page-3) play without any problem with Chrome and Safari on the Mac and with Edge on Win 11 .

Had to click the text field 3 times just to write title to this post because I made a post on Twitter that's getting a bunch of interaction. Notifications take the cursor focus away from the text input field whether that's on a site or the search bar or the address bar. Very annoying. Windows 10, latest version of Firefox, but it also happened with the previous version. Please help!

I have 2fa enabled on my account, is there a way to skip/disable the third step where I have to enter a code from an email? It's already redundant with 2fa. Plus, the runaround of "enter your email, enter your password, get email, enter the code, oops your password is wrong!" is irritating enough :) It just seems unnecessarily difficult.

I'm encountering an issue specifically on MediaWiki sites, like this one, where the "Special:UserRights" page behaves strangely. Whenever I try to type in the input area, the browser suggests "Manage Password" even though it's not a relevant action on this page.

I'm using Firefox 123.00 and this happens on both my Linux (Ubuntu 22.04) and Windows 11 OS. I don't have any password manager extensions installed.

While this might seem like a minor inconvenience, it's quite disruptive to the workflow when managing user rights on MediaWiki sites.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is there a known solution or workaround to prevent the "Manage Password" suggestion from appearing on the "Special:UserRights" page?

Every time I quit FF, FF crashes, or my Mac crashes, my bookmarks either disappear entirely, or the toolbar bookmarks and/or my "Other Bookmarks" folder disappear while leaving my main "Bookmarks Menu" bookmarks. When I tried to restore from json backups, I discovered that my last one seems to be from last October. So I used Time Machine to restore my FF user profile from March 1. This works, but then I go through the cycle I just described above again ... and again. New backups of my Mac do not hold onto the bookmarks when I restore FF user profiles made after March 1.

When I try to manually back up my bookmarks or export my bookmarks to an HTML file from inside the "Manage Bookmarks" window, everything seems to work, but then when I go looking for the file I supposedly created (e.g. bookmarks-2024-03-04.json), no such file exists in the location where I saved it and searching for a file with "bookmarks" in its name yields only bookmarks from other browsers and the old bookmark backups from last October and earlier.

Since about two days ago firefox on both my PC and laptop has been trying to connect to a random website called ponf.linkedin.com that I have no idea where it came out of.

I have no clue why this was but I reset both browsers on both devices + reinstalled windows 11 on my main PC and it only continues happening on my PC now, i've managed to replicate the behaviour by resetting the browser and everytime that happens firefox attempts to connect to this website even though bitdefender blocks it and nothing comes up, no popup or anything as if its just in the shadows.

Does anyone have any idea why this would be and what I should do? any help is appreciated thanks.
