Well, I don't know how I did it, but:

I'm trying to sync my Firefox between 2 PCs. I had trouble with it, and now the situation is: a) my source PC asks me to create a new profile as it spits the dummy on my existing one; it does not offer me the option of creating a new account b) my destination PC does the same. In both cases, when I choose the "Sync and save data" menu option, then enter my email, I get the message: "This profile was previously synced to a different account. To keep your data...To sign in using <email address>, create a new profile." Creating a new profile does not have all the configuration and info that I have in my current profile.

It would be nice if I could reset everything back to square one with the sync process. Does anyone have a good suggestion?

I am running Firefox 147 on a Windows 10 desktop PC. I am using DualSafe Password Manager. However, the 'Ask to save passwords' option is ticked in my Settings (see attached screenshot), and also greyed out so I can't alter it. Firefox keeps asking to save passwords for sites that I sign into. Can anyone suggest how I can fix this. To my way of thinking, if a thrid-party password manager is installed, Firefox should see this (it does) and automatically set itself to not ask.

replaced a windows 10 laptop with a Linux Mint 22.3 laptop. Used Sync to transfer profile to the new laptop. Logged into the banking account (BECU.org) successfully. When trying to transfer money from checking to savings, the transaction failed with a statement that the date was invalid. The date was valid. A separate Linux Mint computer that never had a windows profile synced does not show this problem. Disabling all extensions did not fix this problem.

Could you make a shortcut to switch on between "dark mode" and "bright mode" in the mobile app browser + pc desktop browser?

There are enough webpages that don't show correctly in dark mode. It is not convenient to change the dark mode each time in settings!

Hi folks, I restarted Firefox today on my Macbook and now the Restore Previous Session option is no longer working. I've tried the Sessionstore fix described here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-restore-browsing-session-backup but it is not doing the trick. I've used it multiple times in the past and it has always worked up until now.

I've since opened a couple of new tabs and then shut Firefox down to see if the Restore Previous Session will bring those particular tabs back. However the Restore previous session remains greyed out. I suspect it may be to do with the latest update to 149.0.2. I downloaded and installed that two days ago, but only restarted this morning so I think the update would have been done then. Are there known issues with this update, and is a fix coming? I am not able to copy and paste in Firefox while using Microsoft Office for the web. I can in the same documents using Chrome & Edge I have searched the web and tried every setting I could find but can still not use copy and paste

Started a few days ago, I'm getting a Access Denied error on Sky News web site-:

Access Denied You don't have permission to access "http://news.sky.com/uk" on this server. Reference #18.6e3f655f.1775840716.11cf0872 https://errors.edgesuite.net/18.6e3f655f.1775840716.11cf0872

Has anyone a clue? I can go to the Sky Watch live..... when I click any link I get the same result above. This happens when running Firefox in safe-mode.

Running Win 7 x64 115.33.0ESR This is the only problem I have.

I recently switched operating systems from W11 to Linux (Zorin), and installed a new copy of Firefox. I rely on local web pages I have written for some of my work, but the new copy of Firefox does not find the file. For example, when accessing an image, e.g., file:///magrathea/dmpase/home/index/coastal24.png, Firefox gives the message:

File not found Firefox can’t connect to the server at local file What can you do about it? Check to make sure you’ve typed the website address correctly.

The address is correct, that is, the file resides at: /magrathea/dmpase/home/index/coastal24.png and the user does have permissions to read the file. I've tried adding up to five '/' characters to the beginning, and I have turned off all of my installed add-ons, but without success.

An apparently related problem is that double clicking on a '.htm' file also changes the address, for example, from '/home/dmpase/Desktop/index.htm' to 'file:///run/user/1000/doc/f07a8988/index.htm'

And finally, the "Brave" browser is able to read the files with no errors.

How do I fix this for Firefox?

How can i change bookmarks menu so it will close after choosing. Ive searched and only found option to stay open, (Option to not close menu when opening new tab)... Not what im wanting, I want to open bookmarks choose and have it auto close the side bar of bookmarks. Maybe even auto closing the link folders opened. Windows 11.

What are the step-to-step instructions in order to use Free VPN? (see attached image) I did a query on the web and it came back stating that Firefox VPN was not free. I am confused. Thank you for your prompt assistance.
