I have 3 emails under a custom domain that i purchased through porkbun. I don't know the terminology but I am also using microsoft 365 as a domain? I purchased www.traditionsmeatco.com domain through porkbun but have emails through microsoft 365 cole@traditionsmeatco.com and domonique@traditionsmeatco.com and support@traditionsmeatco.com.

Anyways, I also have a gmail account, cole.minnis@gmail.com, this email works properly receiving and sending.

It's the other three that are giving me and issue and the warning i am getting is saying check authorization method in outgoing server. I will attach the screen shot of the alert.

I messed with all the options on the authorization method and nothing works!

Please let me know what to do, I hate outlook and now I am having issues here. I also changed password but no that didnt fix it.

Opened Thunderbird today April 7, 2025 and the oldest email was from 2:58 PM April 6 2025. All my extensive collection of folders and old email have disappeared. New messages arrive in my inbox just fine. I suspect that there is a folder still on my hard drive somewhere with all the info in it. It appears that Thunderbird just can't find it for some reason. How can I help Thunderbird get back to using that file?

When I installed Thunderbird on my new computer, it immediately downloaded 3,900 emails from Yahoo (It serves my ATT.com email account.) The process took several hours and I could not stop it.

My email folder on my old computer is located at: c:\emailtb1 where I have about 100 folders (I make a new folder after about 100 emails.) I tried to change my location for emails to my old location without any success. Thunderbird used to ask you for the location. Any location worked. Now, there is a complicated process re profiles, I think it is called. Why make it complicated when simple works? How can I change to c:\emailtb1 so I can view my old organized folders?

My old email screen shows the 100 folders including inbox, sent, trash, etc. on the left of my screen. Then I have four columns to the right for Subject, From, Recipient and Date. Clicking on the column headings allows me to sort, and I can add columns easily. The new screen on my new computer is an absolute mess. It is many times worse than what I used since at least 2007.

I have been using computers and email since 1984. I am so frustrated that I am looking for a better email program. Can anyone help?

I notice that pressing J highlights a 'scam status" logo appears on the same line as the message I want to send to Junk or Spam box. But highlighting the logo leaves me with another action which I assume is to sort by spam status and select all such messages and either delete them all or carry them to Spam. Is there a faster way to do this? Thank you Brian in Auckland, New Zealand

Had issues with Comcast emails. They were set up with POP settings. Was on the phone with Comcast and uninstalled 3 email addresses and reinstalled using IMAP settings. I did not delete the message data leaving that box unchecked. After about 1.5 hours on the phone with Comcast was able to get the reinstalled Comcast email addresses to pull all of the emails off Comcast website. But there are emails that are missing from each of the inbox and sent folders for each of the 3 Comcast email addresses.

I do an incremental weekly backup using Acronis True Image 2020 Home Edition. I see the folders in the path but since they were saved last Saturday under POP settings, the backups I will need to try to recover are in 3 of the Comcast folders in the "MAIL" folder and not "IMAPMAIL" folder which listed 6 folders from imap.comcast1.net through imapcomcast6.net.

What do I need to copy from the correct Comcast folder called "Profile" where the izpoojy7.default is? Within this izpoojy7.default is the folder mail.comcast-1.net which has 1 of the 3 Comcast email addresses I need to recover the inboxes and sent folder emails. Please see the attached photo of the contents of this mail.comcast-1.net folder.

Do I just copy the Inbox.mozmsgs as well as the Sent.mozmsgs files? Or do I also need to recover more of the files within the respective mail.comcast-1.net folder? Thank you for any assistance you can offer on this matter.

I'm running Thunderbird on Arch Linux. A few weeks ago the following problem appeared. When I start Thunderbird I can view my calendar as usual, and it is all in place. But once I click off the calendar back to email, any attempt to return to the calendar shows it blank until I restart Thunderbird. My various calendars are listed, but all appear empty, and Tasks are similarly empty. When on my email, the Tasks bar is still working.

I can see a similar question on the forum, to which the solution was to delete calendar add-ons. I have tbSync and its dependency installed; I tried deleting them (by moving the relevant folders out of .thunderbird and restarting) and this did not help. I have also tried reinstalling Thunderbird, which also did not help.

My email host requires changes to connection settings (this is for an existing account), specifically to increase security but also specifying new incoming and outgoing server names.

I have meticulously copied the settings provided by the host for this purpose but Thunderbird will not (cannot?) connect to the server.

Thunderbird is not asking for my password, nor does the password appear in TB's 'Saved Passwords'.

So I tried 'Add Mail Account', entered all the new settings manually, but TB responds 'Incoming server already exists' (presumably because I had already changed the existing account settings?) - see screenshot.

Should I remove the existing account before trying 'Add Mail Account'? Although that would seem unlikely to work, since the existing account with the new settings does not connect.

Support from my email (and broadband) host has been practically useless, so I thought I would ask the wonderful brains on TB forum if they can give me any clue as to where things are going wrong?

After using Thunderbird and the Calendar - synced to my Google Calendar - for many years I find myself with a new installation of Tbird on a new PC running Windows 11. I've got the calenders all setup and synced and everything, but when I try to set notifications the only choice available is "Show an alert". It also used to offer "Send an email". I want the ability to send those email notifications, not just phone alerts. I've looked through the settings and don't see anything obvious. So how do I get it to send notifications via email? When I am using UNIFIED Inbox in Thunderbird and I use the MOVE TO button at the top it successfully moves the message BUT after the move the MOVE TO button is greyed out and not selectable, so I can not use it again to move another email message to a folder.

Then I have to use the less efficient file menu "Message -> Move to" which works and then when the move is done, mysteriously the MOVE TO button UN-greys and is available for the 3rd message to be moved.

When I do the same thing in any "normal" inbox it does not exhibit this behavior.

Any help is appreciated in fixing this bug.

Hey, I'll try to keep this brief. Microsoft is forcing me to buy a new PC so as to "upgrade" from Windows 10 to Windows 11. My Windows 10 PC has Thunderbird (128.9.1--it says it's up to date) and it works just fine. I've spent over two hours attempting to set up Thunderbird on my new Windows 11 PC and...no dice. I'm at the end of my tether; I can't afford to waste more time on this. So...

--Thunderbird 137.0.1 (fresh download this afternoon--unclear as to the discrepancy vs. Windows 10 ver.) --Email = ATT --The setup program says it knows who ATT is and has the configuration --When I press "Done" for the setup to get everything going, it spins forever, then says, unhelpfully, "Unable to login at server. Probably wrong configuration, username, or password." --Needless to say, I've checked everything 48 ways from Sunday; let's assume that my email is correct --So if it's not my email address, that leaves password or configuration, right? --Password: According to Mr. Google's AI (*ahem*) I shouldn't use my regular password, I should use a "secure mail key"...well, that's okay, my regular password wasn't working anyway --Believe it or not, I've got notes on my original secure mail key so I enter that. Doesn't work. I enter the random character string that the secure mail key is supposed to stand for. Doesn't work. --I generate a fresh secure mail key in case the silly things have a shelf life. The new one doesn't work, nor does its random character string. --I then direct my attention to the configuration. Thunderbird said it knew what to do, but...what if? Inbound looks okay, compared to the settings on my old PC and also as recommended by Mr. Google. --Outbound...uh, oh...

Old PC says Server Name: smtp.att.yahoo.com (this one's been working)
Thunderbird thinks its supposed to be: outbound.att.net (I think that's what it said...I've got it set to something else at the moment)
Mr. Google says: smtp.mail.att.net
I think I tried another outgoing server address that I saw somewhere else, but at this point I'm punch drunk and cannot remember for sure.

Folks, I've tried every permutation that I can think of for passwords and outgoing servers and, lacking any intelligent guidance as to exactly what the problem is, I have no idea what else to try.

I'd appreciate advice as to what to try next, but am no longer hopeful. I may have to move on to another program in an effort to get something that works. I'm falling behind on my day.

Spoiler alert: Don't tell me to curse at the screen or give it the middle finger...I've already tried those approaches and they don't work.

Thanks, Grey

Hello, This has been an ongoing issue for me for many years. Whenever I receive e-mails from 2 friends who use AOL as their client, all the embedded meme and/or image files are converted into attachments, and what appears in the content text area is empty boxes. For example, I could get an e-mail about a photography opportunity with some typical photos of the scenery, etc. along with plenty of text paragraphs describing the specifics of this event. All the images will be as attachments. Now, it's there's only one or two such images, it's not too much of an annoyance, but many times there's multiple images, so now at the bottom, you have to scroll through each one, trying to fit it into where it belongs.

IF others send me similar documents who use other clients, Gmail,

etal., the image files are intact where they belong. Can you ascertain whether this is a Gmail/Thunderbird problem or does it originate with the AOL senders? Thank you.

Starting yesterday 4-3-2025 my Thunderbird email keeps locking up and saying it is not responding. I can close it and open it and then work with it for 2 or 3 minutes and it will start not responding again. This is a consistent problem the last few days. I did check and it said there was an automatic update on 4-2-25. I am not sure if this had anything to do with it but i did go in and request an update about 2 hours ago today. This has not helped as I still consistentaly get the not responding problem. Please advise what I can do to fix this.
