FIREFOX IS MY DEFAULT BROWSER, ALL I WANT FROM MOZILLZ IS TO CLOSE THE WINDOW TAB ARROW NOT THE WINDOW X SYMBOL, I HAVE A TON OF WINDOWS STACKED UP, WHAT IS THE PROBLEM,

Trying to set up new Gmail account in Thunderbird. New account dialog opens, recognises Gmail address and imap details, but doesn't allow me to provide Gmail with password. Authentification failure results.

Have got a replacement computer, and downloaded the latest TBird (having used it with AOL) for years). Following initial set up procedure, TB detects correct settings for AOL and the "enter password" page opens from AOL succcessfully for authorisation. AOL requires 2 factor authorisation, and I use a phone code for this.

However the speed at which the code arrives from AOL has always varied quite a bit, and today it is taking almost a minute so the TB set up screen is timing out long before the code arrives. Cant go on retrying as I will get locked out of the account. No point in going for manual set up as the auto settings are correct, so the same problem is going to occur. I have three AOL e-mail addresses to set up! Is there a workaround of some sort for this - its terribly frustrating and the set up screen "connect your e-mail settings" timeout period does seem quite short if you have to wait for a 2FA phone code or e-mail code - any delay in the arrival of which is completely ouside your control . Hello, Since receiving a recent update to Firefox (I am a long time user), when using Google as the search engine, I am required to complete a Captcha every time, because Google says it has detected unusual activity from my location. Firefox is/has been installed on my computer for many years without any problems. It is used as supplied with the following extensions:- Ad Blocker Ultimate; Duck Duck Go Search & Tracker Protection; Enhancer For YouTube; Firefox Relay; Malwarebytes Browser Guard; Privacy Badger. If I change the search engine to say "Duck Duck Go" I don't get any Captcha requirement. I use Bit Defender Antivirus protection. Malwarebytes Free is used as a periodic check and is not activated to work full time. This problem didn't exist until a recent Firefox update. The Captcha requirement happens every time I use Firefox with Google search and if I boot up the computer and immediately use Firefox and no other program I get the Captcha requirement. How can there be "unusual activity"? If I use Google Chrome Browser, I don't get the Captcha requirement, it's just Firefox. With all the extensions from Firefox removed I still get the Captcha requirement. Any assistance would be welcome.

today all my incoming emails are going into my Local deleted folder for some reason and trying to put them where they belong in the inbox simpy means they go straight back to this deleted folder, I have tried to look at the settings but cannot see why it is doing this. Meine Festplatte ging kaputt. Auf der neuen Festplatte können meine in den dortigen lokalen Ordnern abgespeicherten emails nicht mehr gelesen werden. Ich weiß, dass diese noch irgendwo vorhanden sind. Wie komme ich wieder an diese?

This seems to have occurred in the last month or so.

Whenever I click on a message in the folders pane, the message is not displayed correctly in any of the three layout views but, if I am offered to display in a browser, it does! Also, if I select 'Edit as a new message' it displays correctly, as also do iPhone and iPads. The screenshot shows the problem?

Any ideas, anyone?

I've received the following message the last few days when I send an email with Thunderbird:

Your message was sent but a copy was not placed in your sent folder (Sent) due to network or file access errors. (I am sure neither of those errors apply.)

It then gave me the option to "save" (I didn't get the exact wording before I clicked on "save") and I don't see it anywhere. This was a very important email and I need to find it.

My iPad, my thankfully, my iPhone, which is a 14 Pro Max with iOS 26 and ever since I got it things haven’t worked correctly. Something always goes wrong. My iPad is an iPad Air. That will be two years old this Christmas for some reason there are no passwords in my iPad at all and then I realized yesterday there’s no bookmarks either trying to add them and my phone will crash when you open the Passwords and I have to power off the phone and reset the phone 2-4 times a day same thing with the iPad when things are getting worse as far as not responding to things I clear my history. I delete all my data and the same thing I have to go to general and shut down my iPad for a little while and then reboot it up is the only way to clear things to op around and jump around. A google bot tried to help me wanted me to skip the password. You’re locked out now and there was a code we could use instead take a picture of the code and he’s making me do it with my iPad and then I see it. It’s supposed to be a computer which I don’t have. I am stuck with just a iPad and an iPhone and I went to Reddit and people have ideas and he’s got me with everything off except the top two blue set open and I know that that’s not right I never had just those two before.
