After I upgraded to Firefox 4.0 the browser window does not appear. In Task Manager Firefox 4.0 process is listed but it is taking up 100% cpu (only 25% of quad-core system) and starts at 25MB RAM usage, slowly increasing.

I'm running Windows 7.0 SP 1

I downgraded back to Firefox 3.6, and 3.6 is running fine again.

I see many other people have problems with upgrade to 4.0. I found out from browsing webpostings the people with similar issue downgraded back to 3.6 and are running OK again.

I don't have time to troubleshoot, but will try your Firefox again once you have fixed problem with upgrading from 3.6 to 4.0.

I will not try 4.0 again, but will wait for next 4.X version, or 5.X.
