Since 3 or 4 days, I am facing problem accessing my Yahoo mail account. What I get after entering my username and password, is a 404 Error. I do not have such a problem with either Google Chrome or Internet Explorer. Can you solve this?

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

  • "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
  • "Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Thanks Cor-el. I tried it. But the problem is persisting. I am surprised that the expected support has not been forthcoming from this forum, except you of course. That is worrying me. If I cannot get prompt support, why should I continue with Mozilla? I am still waiting for the FF team to respond. Thanks

I cleared Yahoo! cookies and my cache but no change. I uninstalled Panda AV toolbar and URL seek and that fixed it. There appears to be an incompatibility when Panda, FireFox and Yahoo! are all three involved.

Running Panda, Firefox and Yahoo! as well but as Yahoo! is working fine in IE and Chrome I would say the problem lies with Firefox.

If you have the pdfForge toolbar installed this can cause the 404 error to redirect to Yahoo.

pdfForge Toolbar -> Options -> Search Settings

uncheck the "Enable network browser error assistant"

i have this problem except i don't get an error...i get a blank page and the wheel spinning endlessly. Firefox help is useless, they never reply, just refer me to this forum.

It's their job to fix it, not other people's.
