GUI problems when using Microsoft web apps

This is a hard problem to explain, but certain aspects of various Microsoft web apps don't work properly when accessed via Firefox. The two most recent problems I've noticed have been

  1. when using Outlook Web, I cannot change my email signature. The frame that's supposed to let me type in an email signature is there, but visually blank, and I can't click in it.
  2. when using OneNote Web, there is a giant blank bar in the middle of the page (picture picture). I can't click on it or interact with it in any way.

I'd prefer to keep using Firefox, and I'd prefer to NOT download the desktop app versions of these programs. Can anyone think of a reason this problem might be occurring, and how to fix it? I'm using Firefox 89.0.2 (64 bit), Windows 10 Home 2004, and this has been happening for at least the last few months
