Firefox foar iOS Support Forum

When I’m on a website and I want to pay for something via PayPal it switches onto a new tab that’s blank. It won’t go to the PayPal website. Any thoughts please? Jeff

If i open a link to redirect to an app, let’s say wikipedia, it will redirect fine. When i switch back to Firefox, the mobile version of the link i clicked on will be loaded instead of just displaying search engine search results where i clicked the wikipedia link. (Admin note: edited to fix formatting issue)

Another thing that happens is if i click on the link, still being wikipedia, get redirected to the app, then close out firefox, the next time i open firefox, it will redirect me back to the wikipedia app.

This issue I have been having is not just related to Wikipedia, this is for any other link that may open a related app I have installed on my phone.

iOS 17.5 iPhone 14 Pro

Firefox for iOS no longer will open when I click from my mail or the QR scanner. This is a recent development. To be precise, Firefox opens, but nothing else happens! Any suggestions? Thanks.

  For couple weeks , following any external link/reference, such as all 'unsubscribe' links from Apple Mail messages, Firefox opens but homepage rather than to the link/url argument (and url field shows blank, not display the extrrnal link's url address in url input box.
  Support history shows an identical problem in Ff ~117 reported (Aug '23, I think)   (if the condition of Firefox not currently running is same, which I haven't yet been able to determine) and apparently resolved then ( 2 replies, but thread is not visible because FF Support has it recorded as "Archived").

I am trying to make a purchase on the 5% nutrition website. The browser will not allow me to change flavors from the drop down menu. When I select from the drop down the page reloads to the default. The website works on other browsers. I am running version 116.0.2. Thanks, Jesse

Last few days I am unable to see my Xfinity / Comcast & google emails via Firefox - but I can see them via Safari. Addresses are : [edited] @comcast.net, [edited] @gmail.com. Have been able to get them via Firefox for a long time prior. Also, lately firefox will stop my search until I click the FF icon where a wheel is turning and once I click it, it changes to a check mark and then I can proceed. Can you help please? Thank you.

Could you please help me, I'm having trouble logging into some of my accounts, I can't access verification codes or the correct passwords for apps like Amazon.co.uk also I keep having to log onto Firefox browser as it does not allow me to stay lodged in does it need to be updated or is there something else I should be doing. My case is simple but I have no ideia the WHY is happening. I use google as a search engine but after a few days, it changes automatically to Yahoo (wich i dont like) and i have to go to preferences and change it back to google. This has been repeating for a few months and I'm a bit fed up of it, so, is there any way to keep google permamently?

Also it is curious that if I restore the default seach engines, it does not appear yahoo, and even if i delete all, and only keep google, keeps on happening again.

I'm an apple user and I also have Firefox since forever on the Iphone and Ipad too and no problem with this ones.

Hi In the absence of network connectivity, submitting a search or entering a URL in the universal bar fails to detect the network issue. Moreover, the content of the universal bar is lost (forcing the user to type again, which can be very frustrating for a long URL)

How to reproduce: - open firefox iOS - switch your phone to airplane mode and deactivate wifi - open a new tab and try accessing any webpage (eg mozilla.org, or type something to be searched) - observe how the content of the bar is instantly lost and a blank page is displayed.

What should be expected: - the universal bar should still contain whatever was typed (or the URL of the search engine) - the body of page should display the usual "The internet connection appears to be offline" message.

PS: this apparently only happens in newly created tabs, not with existing ones.
