The last Firefox update, 126.0 (64bit), that was installed 2 days ago has caused various website's commentary or forums to not be displayed. For example, Yahoo finance page, attempting to read the "community" section of a particular stock such as Walmart (WMT) nothing is displayed. This happens also on news websites that allow commentary. Google Chrome does display commentary but I don't like using Google.

This is not the first time commentary has not being displayed after an update. Happened a couple of times last year.

The desktop pc is running Windows 11, version 23H2.

I have a program that continuously monitors the download folder under Windows 11 for a specific file and retrieves it. I download this file in Firefox, but the said program gives an error.

I have noticed that when files are downloaded in FireFox, they already appear in the Downloads folder with the corresponding file extension with 0 bytes and these are then apparently swapped or merged with the .parts file.

The problem is that the mentioned program now tries to retrieve the unfinished file, which then leads to an error.

Does anyone know if it is possible to customize Firefox so that the file only appears in the download folder when the download is fully complete?

ive built a new pc and have a flashing program popup every 10min. upon assistance from a really good pc guy, we've found its a firefox default browser agent with a long code.

its not listed in my scheduled tasks, eyt runs every 10min. only thing close to firefox would be thrunderbird, but iirc, mozilla and thunderbird are not longer the same company. either way. i need this thing to stop running every 10min.

When photos, videos, or websites are linked on a FB comment, it used to display a thumbnail preview below the comment. Now it just shows the link. On mobile, the preview appears. So I'm thinking a setting got changed on the desktop version.

Does anyone know what the issue is and how to correct?

I have recently had a Computer Crash and have set up a new Computer. However, I cannot find a way to synchronize my old Bookmarks. Part of the Problem probably is that when the Syncing was originally set up, I was using a different User Name [e-Mail Address] to that I am using now. I have been using Firefox since 2006; and have an old Sync Key dating from some time in 2014; but cannot find a way to enter it into the current Firefox Settings. How do I recover my Bookmarks?

When I pull up my settings, it states that my browser is being monitored by my organization. The problem is that my laptop is my private laptop and not connected to any organization, at least, not with my knowledge. When I click on the link associated with the message, it lists two policy names. One policy value is locked with the word true after it. The other policy value is unlocked with the word false after it. What do I do?

In Chrome, I can hit CTRL+SHIFT+I to open developer tools, add the Media tab, and go to the Media tab, and I can see the codec and what decoder is being used.

How do I do the same thing in Firefox?

I can't sign into my TracFone account on FireFox or FireFox Private Window. But I "can" sign on in Chrome. Is there someway to fix this as FireFox is my main default browser.

Why you create Mozilla account with sync, if I can't use profile which I saved on my old PC. I change my PC and now I can't use my open tabs as needed, I need to open each tab one by one. Why ??? Why I can't use saved profile on my new PC ??????

Since my Firefox browser has many issues these days, I tried to reinstall it but forgot to leave the box next to “Remove My Firefox Personal Data and Customization” unchecked when I proceeded with the installation.

I don't have any manual backup of my Window 11 system or bookmarks / passwords stored on Firefox. And all Firefox folders now have a last-modified time later than the time when I clicked the installation file. Thus, I guess my bookmarks / passwords stored over the past two years are forever gone. But I would like to make sure that it is really the case so that I can move on and start feeling better.

I understand it was completely my careless mistake. But your kind feedback would really, really be appreciated.

Long ago I used to never have to hit F5 to see today's version of a page instead of the cached version, and I do NOT want to clear cache or cookies or history on exit, no, that's not the setting I'm looking for, thanks.

bold textExperienced Firefox browser session freezes a month or two ago. It seemed that some March/April '24 fixes/patches stabilized the app. They are occurring again with increased frequency. What should I do to avoid this problem or switching to another browser? Thx

Well, since I changed to a new computer with Win 11, videos on Facebook don't play right. They are videos that are posted by various people and real entities. They are not smooth. They start to play and immediately pause then jump forward then pause and jump forward. If I copy the link and go to Chrome, paste the link and play the videos, they are normal Never did that on my old computer. Any ideas why the videos don't play normal?

My firefox now freezes when I click in the URL bar. NO solution I have found so far other than task manager -> end task and restart the browser. Occasionally that will work, other times it will immediately freeze again.

Historically I have had a LOT of tabs open, more recently less than 20 tabs. I have never seen the issue before.

What I have tried so far: - reboot - restart firefox - "refresh" firefox - troubleshooting mode - removed all extensions - removed some extensions - reduced tabs down to a few - tried to click in the start page search instead of url bar - turned off hardware acceleration - turned on hardware acceleration - turned off TLS DNS - using only 1 window at a time instead of 2 or 3 - waited for an hour or so and window did not become responsive

None of these solutions fixed the issue. A screenshot would be useless as the window looks fine, but the UI is unresponsive.

I have Firefox on Windows, Linux, and Android. Anytime I use Firefox on a desktop, it sends me to Tornado Alley in Kansas. However, I am not in Kansas, and I don't have dog named Toto either. I am in the Detroit area. If I use other browsers, I don't have this problem. It only happens on desktop computers. On my cell phone it shows the correct location. I have already done the simple troubleshooting measure (for a year now: clearing cache, uninstall, reinstall, etc...) and NOTHING removes me from this Tornado Alley, Kansas location on the Firefox browser. If I use Chrome, Opera, Edge, etc... I don't get this problem. It must be something in the Firefox program.
