I think that long code distinguishes the Regular, Extended Support, Beta, and Nightly releases of Firefox so if you have more than one installed, things do not get mixed up.

Is the first screenshot from PowerShell? I don't know how to get or use that.

Unlike your second screenshot, I have a Mozilla section in Scheduled Tasks, and the default browser task runs once daily. I don't know why you don't have the Mozilla tasks. Permission difference??

hmm i thought i posted a reply alrady. guess it didnt work.

this is a new pc build. i had a corrupt windows explorer so wiped and started over. only possible mozilla program installed was Thunderbird. I have not used firefox in over a decade or more. everything installed is the same program as before the wipe and no software upgraded unless it was automatic like windows and my virus software. this never happened before. so im very perplexed at how this is even running with no firefox program ever installed.

for sh.ts and grins. my helper had me install firefox. check the tasks and then remove firefox to see if it would also pull this off the machine. i did get a mozilla task that had a different code in its name and all was removed as id expect after removal. the other reminent or whatever is still there.

I might try to remove thunderbird today, but im pretty sure it has no ties to firefox anymore. ive turned off all its reporting to mozilla as well thinking that was trigging this task.
