I am prevented from downloading an important document because the site says that I need to disable an ad blocker. I am not aware of having an ad blocker and nothing shows up in add ons and extensions. How do I find and disable an ad blocker that I cannot find?

I keep getting this msg for my amazon acct and other accts I've used on this same laptop for years. Now all of a sudden I get this msg: Error code: PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR

Please advise how to fix this matter

after the last update, the keyboard shortcut shift+esc opens the processes menu. i would like to disable it - this is the same shortcut that i frequently need to use on a specific website, and needing to close the processes menu every time is deeply annoying

I am using Firefox browser with DuckDuckGo search engine. When trying to print a crossword puzzle daily form USA Today, I get the following message after pressing the play button: Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information). If I refresh the page, the site continues on and lets me print the puzzle. I tried switching back to Firefox for the search engine with the same result. This issue does not occur on Google Chrome, however. I have included a screenshot of website when error occurred. Thank you in advance.

I know my Firefox (Win 10) blocks ads because I can see where they were supposed to be. Also, Youtube ads at the beginning of a video last only 1 or 2 seconds. But I've forgotten how I achieved that. I can find no evidence of an ad blocker on my computer or my Firefox browser. How can I find out how ads are blocked?

How can I add a webpage shortcut to the FireFox home page in Windows 10? I just want to simply add a shortcut to a webpage that is currently not on the home page, in spite of having visited it several times. since the automatic adding of visited sites is not consistent (some sites do not show up on the home page no matter how often I visit them while others that I have visited once act like they are pinned, but they are not), I need to be able to add a website shortcut manually, and none of the help articles that I have found successfully do that. at least in my current version of Firefox, which is version 108.0.2 (64-bit).

firefox: 108.0.1 (64-bit) windows 10: 21H2 installed browser: firefox (pin-ed private mode on task bar) and edge (set to always open in private mode)

When I open firefox by clicking the icon on the task bar, firefox is opened in private mode. When I type in a URL in the address bar and click return, the private mode icon disappears from the tab, and the firefox instance becomes a normal (non-private mode) window.

When I open firefox in regular mode, and click New private window menu button, a new firefox instance is open with no private-mode icon shown anywhere in the new window.

How can you tell if firefox is in private-mode or not? Does the new version of firefox really have private mode?

See the attached images: start firefox in private mode using the pin-ed icon on the task bar; then type in www.google.com in the address bar. After that, cannot tell if firefox is still in private mode.

By the way, I've cleaned all browser data, all, everything I can select in the settings. Still in private mode, I still get site suggestion from history. From privacy's point of view, something is wrong somewhere.

Was online at Facebook.com and playing a game when suddenly I got the error (SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG) that came up,and have not been able to return to that page since. Please help I am no computer wiz!!! Thank you, Leslie Holt

I've had Firefox since it's been around and not had this issue, I have a Mac with OS Monterey 12.6. Firefox is up to date and about two weeks ago with about 10 tabs open a tab crashed which probably hasn't happened in a couple years. I tried re-opening but it just crashed. I clicked the next and it crashed, then to the next and it crashed, etc. They all crashed soon as you clicked on them. I switched over to Chrome to see if I could even look something up because as soon as you clicked on anything with Firefox it crashed. I restarted Firefox and tabs just crashed. I let it sit and came back 8 hours later & all worked fine. A day later tabs started crashing again. On and off for the last two weeks tabs just keep crashing intermittently on Firefox and they only way to fix it is take a break and come back in an hour+. Then maybe a tab will crash and it will continue to work for a little while when you restart tab or maybe it will just crash as fast as you click Restart Tab. I currently have 2 crashed tabs and I'm surprised its letting my type this with a crashed tab, when I tried opening another, it just opened a crashed tab. I wouldn't doubt if it crashes in the middle of typing and I have to come back in an hour to finish. I can't find a solution on Google and if this keeps up, I'm going to have to drop Firefox as this happens throughout the day for work. Any Ideas what this might be? If you think it's a computer issue, I'll call Apple, but no solutions on Google make sense. Thanks for any help.

Note, these tabs are crashing on every site you can think of from Yahoo, Mail, Google, Facebook, Amazon, youtube, etc.

I inadvertently switch from the Classic AOL Mail page to their new one but do not know how to switch back. I would very much appreciate any how-to response be in a language that a technologically challenged senior citizen would understand (lol). Thank you.

I want to allow websites access to my exact location. Where in about:config preferences do I set this up? I have read many confusing threads about this all over the web. And I may have messed up a few of those preferences. So please tell me about related preferences and what their settings should be too.

I also want to block all other location info such as from my IP, Google, wifi, cell towers, etc.. So that the websites only get the exact latitude and longitude. It is easy for me to get my exact latitude and longitude by searching for my address on Google Maps. The latitude and longitude is in the resulting URL.

I am on a desktop PC using Windows 10 Pro.

I checked the box in privacy settings to "Block new requests asking to allow notifications". But I am constantly asked by multiple web sites if I will allow them to send me notifications. I despise the very idea of push notifications and will never use them or allow them. If this option in settings does not work, then why is it there? Is there a way to make the browser impervious to push notification requests?

How do I set a Custom URL fora new tab under: "Settings - Home - New Tabs and Windows"?

Under "Home Page and Windows", there is a "Custom URL" option, but NOT under "New Tab". There is NO "Custom URL" under the drop-down list, only "Firefox Home (Default)" or "Blank Page".

I want to be able to set the default URL Home page when opening a new "tab" (as well as when I create a new window. For example, when opening a new tab, I want to set the default Home page for the new tab to be Google.com.

I am running a PC with Windows 10 and the latest level of Firefox.
